This is based on the musical based on the original movie, like most of the sequels and spin-offs nowadays it doesn't live up to its predecessors BUT it certainly wasn't bad(it was mid). I personally am not crazy about OG film but fair warning for those who are since it's a musical most of the iconic scenes in the movies are covered up or in the form of a song.
Although I am not a fan of musical or the OG film the sole reason I watched it is because of Renee Rapp playing Regina George and Janis being canonically queer but mostly for my girl Renee Rapp. That woman has put a spell on me and I can't do anything about it. I know I was supposed to hate Regina but she was simply too enchanting and busy slaying through the entire movie.
It made me laugh during some scenes and I loved the casting for most of the part but WTF was going on with Aaron, I thought he was supposed the male lead of the film??? No hate to the actor, he has a cute face but that mop of a hair on his head during the entire movie made him look ridiculous. Whoever did that to him should be fired.
It was a decent film, not the best but okay and I would happily go through it again to watch my goddess Renee Rapp, especially the eyeliner running down scene. (That scene has me on a chokehold)
