Inside the car Lu Yin concentrated on driving.

“I know I was wrong, I shouldn’t have gone to see them.”

After a period of silence and still not receiving a response from her daddy she felt even guiltier. “I’m sorry, I really shouldn’t have gone to see them, don’t be mad at me please.”

Lu Yin sighed, “I’m not mad at you. I knew that since we met him that day you probably have already guessed his identity. Qiu Yue you've also already seen it today, he has a life different from us. He is completely human. And he already has someone by his side and later on they will probably have children too. I don’t want to see you get hurt unnecessarily. I know you’re curious but this type of thing if the other person doesn’t respond isn’t it better to stop and not look for trouble?”

After listening to what her daddy said Qiu Yue felt hurt, “Then because he didn’t come to find me does it mean he doesn’t want me?”

“That’s not what I meant. His life right now doesn’t have you in it. You coming suddenly has disturbed his plans isn’t it better to let him adjust first than barge into his life?”

“But I'm his child too and I'm also part human.”

No one spoke for a while in the car.

“I didn’t go to find him only for me, it was also for you. These days you've been absent minded, restless and contemplative. I figured he had something to do with it since this only happened after we met him. Besides I'm very worried that your old wounds will reopen and then we will have to go back to cultivate again.”

Lu Yin sighed again, “The relapse is not because of him. Don’t think so much. Whether he is around or not you know very well that I still have to go back to cultivate. This is not because of him, it’s because my old wounds are very serious.”

“I know that it’s because of me that you had to come this side which interrupted your cultivation and the healing process, I'm sorry daddy.”

“You’re my child, I do all this because I love you Yue Yue and I don’t regret having you. My cultivation and healing will still take many years with or without you. Let’s not continue to talk about this. I'll send you to your uncle's tomorrow while I go into a very short seclusion. It will take a week at most before I can come back.”

“Oh.” Hearing the non-enthusiastic response Lu Yin chuckled a bit. “What? You don’t want to go see your uncles?”

“Of course I want to go. I just didn’t think you would have to go into seclusion so soon.”

“Me too, I was just a little stimulated but it’s not a problem. Today I will pack your stuff while I try to recuperate and then take you there tomorrow. Your uncles will help process your absence from school. Don’t worry this doesn’t even count as a seclusion, just take it as I'm going to refill my energy and then quickly come back.”

“Ok “

Just as their conversation finished Lu Yin drove through the gate of their house.

Shen Yan was panicking once again. The morning after the dinner he went to find Lu Yin in their house but no one answered. At first he didn’t think anything of it. It was only after he went to inquire on their whereabouts when he found out that Lu Qiu Yue had taken a leave of absence from school, furthermore his friend helped him find out that Lu Yin had also taken the same leave from his work.

He of course went to the house once again and this time he met the caretaker. She told him that Lu Yin had asked her to look after the house in his absence.
He wanted to curse up a storm when he found out, especially when she told him they travelled out of the province.

Shen Yan almost went crazy. He quickly dialled Xiao Mo's number and luckily the call went through. Only after this conversation could he calm down but he still couldn’t relax. Xiao Mo told him that Yue Yue was with them in province A. Lu Yin dropped her off exactly two days ago.

Without informing anyone Shen Yan quickly booked a flight to province A and then proceeded to take a taxi to Lu Bai and Xiao Mo’s house. When he arrived he was greeted at the gate by Xiao Mo.

While making their way into the house he could hear laughter and teasing.

“Lu Bai and Yue Yue are playing video games and it seems to be exciting. You look exhausted do you want to rest first?”

Shen Yan shook his head, “Where’s Lu Yin?”

“Eh... about this Lu Bai is in a better position to explain the whole thing to you. Follow me then.”

Shen Yan followed Xiao Mo as they made their way into the game room. When they walked in Lu Bai was doing some sort of chicken dance and Yue Yue was nearly choking with laughter. It appeared they were playing a dance game, albeit an unconventional one.

Xiao Mo came closer and after everyone noticed the entrance of the two people Lu Bai lost a step and a loud noise from the screen came out declaring ‘Game Over'.

“Uncle you lost and I win!” Yue Yue declared victoriously. Seeing that there’s more people in the room Yue Yue looked over. Normal lights were suddenly turned on from the previous disco lights and the party atmosphere created by the lights was also terminated.

Finally clearly seeing who came through Yue Yue was so excited she wanted to run over. She stopped herself in time though when she remembered her father’s warning. Shen Yan seeing the child act like this felt a twinge of pain, he then proceeded to make his way to Yue Yue. Finally standing in front of her he crouched down so that their eye level

“I'm sorry to have only come now.” He hugged her tightly. Seeing the atmosphere between the two father and daughter, Xiao Mo and Lu Bai quietly made their way out so as to give them some space.

Left alone in the room Yue Yue also hugged him back.

“Are you sure?” She cautiously asked.
Shen Yan hugged her tighter, picked her up and twirled her for a round.

“Do you think I'm not sure?” He tickled her. While laughing she begged for mercy.

“You are sure, you are sure hahaha...! Daddy stop it’s too ticklish...hahaha...stop.” Shen Yan finally stopped, and gave her a huge wet kiss on her cheek. She also gave him a huge wet kiss on his cheek. Both father and daughter looked into each others eyes and smiled.
