SHADOWS FROM MY PAST

But in the morning even the joyful birdsong-trills sang Somebody to love. It's been so long since I'd slept like a real sated baby. My body was an oasis of peace and the bed was mine again. He was gone. Twisting myself I found his smell once again with no effort. In the locks of my hair. As I getting them near to my nose I thought I must send Fooling my report and tell him as a scoop who was the inspiration behind one of the most renown songs from Queen. It was very heavy.

I slid inside my red clogs and headed to the piano. The candles had almost burnt down. There were a large amount of little pieces of papers with his scrabblings. I touched them with infinite delicacy as though with just one of my fingers I could turn them into salt. There were some sentences, a lot of cross-outs, some more musical notes scrabbled here and there. His papers, although they were magnificent gibberish, and the lyrics couldn't have been distinguished, visually they looked beautiful. There was so much dynamism in his lines, a lot of crazy creativity. As a sketch artist I was a great fan of his way of expressing art too.

Watching page after page I noticed a beautiful D full of ornamentations on its paunchy curve. Then I kept moving the page and saw the word. In front of me appeared DAVID, well drawn handwriting and filled with a thousand details. There were no little hearts, arrows or flaming I love yous but there was no need. It was the most romantic DAVID I'd ever seen.

Freddie's room was the bigger and most beautiful but the concept of bathroom insuite still was very new to the period. It was two doors away on the corridor. I rushed into and I bumped into Freddie having a shower not even drawing the shower curtains. He turned around startled.

- Oh, sorry. I had an urgency -I apologized.

- Go ahead, my love. Do whatever you need. I'm drawing the curtains.

The vision of Freddie's dancer body wrapped in soap refrained my urgencies, really. But at the end when he drew the curtains and I heard the water flowing, they reactivated me.

- Did you sleep well, mousy?

Freddie poked out his wet head with a smile while I was still pulling up my clothes. Fuck, we didn't even have enough confidence to share the bathroom in such a relaxed way.

- Fine -I just answered looking daggers at him, uncomfortable.

- Could you hand me the towel?

As I did, a mop of dark curls slid into. What's up? Was it Marx brother's cabin?

- What's wrong with this bathroom? -I couldn't avoid to say.

- Oh, sorry to interrupt you -he said with half a smile.

- You don't interrupt anything, darling. We've just finished -Freddie laughed shameless seeing my blushed face.

- He was having a shower and I know that this is not my bathroom but...

Brian was laughing his head off with my clumsies explanations which instead of clearing things, they got worst.
