A NIGHT AT THE ODEON

John Reid had the keys to make his musicians famous and rich. If last Christmas with Elton John had worked out, he didn't see why it could not be the same with Queen. The format was similar. A concert recorded live to television.

Bob Harris at last got out to the stage dressed up in black dinner jacket, top hat and gloves as though he was a magician and he introduced us the band.

They knew how much they risked in that show and the adrenaline rush flowed wildly. Funnily enough none of them found in their prime for a reason or other. Roger had a serious indigestion although he tried to hide it zealously, Brian had fought with Freddie moments before getting on stage because some song, John had his child with fever and Freddie... Freddie apart from Brian, had fought with a good part of their entourage. Nevertheless, getting on stage turned all their insecurities into an overwhelming force which swept everything away.

Now I'm here sounded amazing and as though each one of them would be members of a play, they worked hard in their own roles.

From the VIP area once more, I witnessed first hand one of their most key concerts. There were BBC cameras all over and John Reid talked to everyone, as usual, like a restless lizard. There were musical journalists in each corner writing the least detail.

A great deal of them had been following them throughout the British tour. The development was clear. The show had been growing up although it lacked a lot of things. Even after with perspective I enjoyed a lot more with their show in Birmingham than Hammersmith one.

But it was hard not falling in love over and over again whenever Freddie sat his beautiful ass on the piano. After making a toast with his champagne glass to the audience and starting White Queen raising his chin to the ceiling, he made the second part of this captivating song on the piano. Almost every critic agreed that intense and breathtaking piano solo was one of the best moments. Finished the song standing at the edge of the stage, before starting the medley with Bo Rhap, he reached out to his magnificent white grand piano Bechstein and grabbing my handkerchief over it, he tapped flirty with it over his sweaty forehead.

Within half an hour of the show, Brian started his guitar solo in Brighton Rock and that gave Freddie around five minutes to change his clothes and fix his looks. I couldn't help sneak away to the dressing room to witness those five minutes of impasse.

Dane was very busy

Dane was very busy. Freddie burst into the room taking off his white suit with his assistant's help. He handed him a towel and he dried his naked body. Dane handed him a tiny black thong but Freddie rejected it with a gesture while Prenter put a glass of water on his hand. They helped him to slip into the tight satin black suit with rhinestones on his shoulders. He had his naked body panting and it was a hard task slipping into it with all sticky because of the sweat but between Dane and Steven got to stretch the exquisite fabric to fit him into perfectly.

Everybody acted in perfect unison so Freddie would be suitable for the next part of the show. It was amazing how fast 5 minutes could pass.

- The flat irons, please -Freddie mumbled still breathless sitting in front the mirror.
