"Do you sleep with all your friends? More important question, do they all look like that and are you okay with sharing?"
"You're married."
"Details!!"
"You're impossible."
"Come on, tell me about him. How did you guys meet? How old is he? What does he do? And is he good at it?" She laughs at her own naughty insinuation.
"I don't want to tell you!"
"Why? Is he married? Haha! Joking."
"Can I just get ready?"
"Hurry up then."
In my bedroom, I get dressed and hear her shout from the kitchen.
"Did you get pastries for breakfast? That's a bit extravagant!"
"Jungkook did."
"Oooh, Jungkook did of course. Well I like the boy."
"He's not a boy." I say, coming out and approaching the counter to make coffee. I can't believe I said that, when I call him boy all the time. Maybe I just want to be the only one calling him 'boy'.
"Can I have one?"
"Help yourself. Did you really come to see me or to escape your family."
She looks at me with a glare because she knows I'm right.
"Who's Jaebeom?"
What? How does she know? And why do I feel so guilty? Damn it. There's definitely something happening with Jungkook. I need to stop this.
"Earth to Ina! Who's Jaebeom?" She asks again her mouth full.
"Umm, my lyrics teacher."
"Why is he calling you?" She asks her mouth full of pastry, while holding my phone screen centimetres from my eyes.
Shit my phone was on silent. I snatch the phone and answer.
"Yoboseyo."
"Hi Ina, I wasn't sure if you were going to answer."
"Hi."
"I want to apologise for yesterday."
"Okay." I am not in the mood to speak to him. I don't know how to be with him. I'm still mad and confused and... the Jungkook thing now makes me feel guilty, so I can feel my hands shaking as I walk to sit on the sofa, away from my sister who I can feel is spying on me.
"I want to see you... to apologise."
"Jaebeom, I don't think it's a good idea."
"I want to explain."
"I'm here, listening to you. If you want to explain please do it."
"I don't want to talk over the phone." I sigh. If I see him casually, I feel that my heart is going to get crushed again.
"My sister is here this weekend so I can't see you for now."
"I see. Amber has been working on the song. She is pretty much done and wants you to go over sometime soon."
"Ok, I'll go over."
"I'll go with you."
"Fine. Just let me know when so I can check if I'm free."
"Of course, I'll text you."
"Yeah."
"I'll talk to you later."
