I was at work again. In two days, I'll be a Pax East in Boston! Which is pretty cool. I hope I get to see Mitch. And Brayden of course.
But Mitch and I have been talking a lot for the past two weeks. He's like my internet best friend, which is nice because I don't really have friends outside of Stacy. Unfortunately, Stacy isn't going to Pax East, but it's not so bad because she can watch Princess for me, which I'm sure Princess would love. In fact, I was dropping her off tonight, and was going to have dinner with Stacy.
My phone buzzed. My heart was hoping Brayden would talk to me, but he didn't. He never texted me or DMed me after he left.
Mitch had texted me though.
M: Hey Cece
C: Aren't you suppose to be in school?
M: Yeah, so?
C: Goodbye Mitch
M: Fine, I'll talk to you later today.
And with that our conversation ended. Mitch was a goofball, kind of like Brayden. I guess it's why they're friends. It was nice to be able to talk to Mitch.
Before I knew it, work was over and it was time for me to go home. Today we were just talking about Pax East, because the only reason I was going was because Minecraft was sending me, which is reason 1036 why I love my job. There was going to be a minecraft panel, which I wasn't going to be on, but I helped with the set up and stuff.
When I got home, I quickly showered and grabbed Princess. I packed her bed, which was probably pointless because she's probably going to cuddle and sleep with Stacy, her food, her toys, her litter box, and her collar in case she got lost. Then we went to my car and drove to Stacy's.
As soon as I opened the door, Princess ran out of my car and went straight to Stacy's door. Wow thanks Princess. I could hear Princess meowing and tapping on Stacy's door, and surprisingly, Stacy opened the door.
"OH! Hi Princess," Stacy said. She let Princess in and went out to help me with Princess' stuff.
"Thank you Ms. Stacyplays," I said.
"Stop it," she said jokingly.
We made our way inside to Stacy's home and we put down Princess' stuff.
"Thank you so much for taking care of Princess," I say to Stacy.
"Of course, I love her," she says.
"She loves you too," I joke.
"Well, are you excited for Pax East?" she asks.
"Of course, I finally get to see Mitch!"
"What about Brayden?"
"Oh yeah, him too."
She looked at me with a confused look.
"What?" I say.
"What happened with you and Brayden?"
"Nothing, but I think we're just friends now. And he hasn't talked to me since he left."
"So you don't like him anymore?"
"I do like him, but I think I hurt his feelings."
"Then apologize and date!"
"But I think we're just going to stay friends. It wouldn't make sense to date. We're young and we live in different countries."
"Oh, I guess that makes sense. But what about Mitch?"
"What do you mean?"
"Do you like Mitch?"
"Oh my god no. We're just friends!"
"Oh alright," she said. "Do you want to stay over for dinner? I can order Chinese food."
"Actually, I think I should go home, I have packing and stuff," I say and I get up.
"Oh okay."
I walk over to Princess and rub her short black fur.
"Be a good girl. I promise I'll be back soon. I love you," and I give a small little kiss on the top of her head and she meows and makes me smile. "Thanks again Stacy."
"No problem. Have fun at Pax. And you have to tell me about it afterwards," she says while pulling me into a hug.
"Of course," and with that, we pull away from the hug and I leave Stacy's home. I walked to my car and drive home, knowing I have a lot of preparing to do for the trip. I was going to stay in Boston for a week.
When I got home I looked at my phone, two texts from Mitch about 4 hours ago.
HI
bestie???
I giggled a bit.
C: BESTIE IM SORRY I WAS AT A FRIEND'S HOUSE
I'm glad Mitch and I were good friends, because he wasn't super clingy if I didn't respond right away, unlike Brayden...
And I loved the idea of having Mitch as my bestie.
M: Oh. So are we besties?
C: IDK ARE WE? IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT? IS WHAT WE HAVE REAL?
LOL I'm funny
M: I DON'T KNOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO I AM
C: WHEN YOU FIGURE IT OUT, CALL ME
He didn't respond after that. But two minutes later, he called me. What is he doing?
I picked up and then I heard the deepest voice I've ever heard a 18 year old have.
"I figured it out," I heard him say. "I'm your bestie."
"Oh my god you're crazy Mitch."
"Haha, I know. So besties?"
"Sure okay Mitch, besties." I could almost hear him smiling, which made me smile.
"Good."
"Okay Mitch, I have to pack for Pax, goodbye."
"Okay, can't wait to see you there. Goodbye Cece." And with that, I hung up. God he was so crazy, it's probably why I talked to him all the time. But I couldn't help but to think about Brayden.
Mitch said Brayden doesn't seem to care about it, and he doesn't really talk about me anymore. Mitch promised me he won't tell Brayden that I like him. I ended up telling him why I liked Brayden last week, and he said he wouldn't tell if I didn't want him to. Mitch was so trustworthy and I haven't even met him in real life.
Well, time to pack.
