Chapter 30 ~ Rehearsal Dinner

It was August 22, 2018. I smiled as I looked out the plane window. I'd never been to Canada but I didn't really have a reason to be here. The plane was just landing.

It had been three years since I'd seen Stacy. I've talked to her online a couple of times, but I didn't really have much time anymore. I got promoted in my job. I was Vice President of Minecraft. It was a big deal, and I drowned myself in work, because I didn't have much else to do. I'm surprised Minecraft is still popular, I would have expected to see less people playing it, but nope, the Minecraft population was still going up, which I loved to see.

But I took a week off work to come to Canada to see Stacy. Well... not just to see Stacy. I was here for her wedding. Her and Zach were finally getting married, after three years of being together. I knew it from the beginning. I call him Zach now because I think it's weird to call him Graser, even though he's still on YouTube.

I wasn't just going to Stacy's wedding though. I was going to be her maid of honor. I was really surprised when she asked me on the phone. In fact, here's how it went:

S: Cece! How have you been?

C: Oh you know, busy with work as usual. But hey, what's up with you?

S: Actually, Zach and I are getting married.

C: Oh my god, no way!

S: Yes!

C: Oh, Stacy I'm so happy for you

S: Thank you Cece, but I need to tell you something else.

C: Yeah?

S: I want you to be my maid of honor

C: Wait what? Are you serious?

S: Yeah, of course!

C: Really?

S: Yes, why are you so surprised?

C: I don't know, I just thought I wasn't really that important...

S: Cece! Of course you are! You're my best friend! Are you going to do it or not?

C: Okay, I'll do it.

S: Thank you Cece.

C: Alright, bye Stacy

S: Goodbye Cece!

Oh how I missed Stacy so much. It had been three years of loneliness, but I had Princess of course. I'm sure she'll be glad to see Stacy. I was kind of worried though, this was her first time on a plane, I hope she's okay. The plane was landing, I really hope she's fine.

Eventually, the plane landed and I left the airport with Princess' cage in my hand. I was staying at a hotel, which was hard to find, because most places wouldn't let Princess in, but thankfully, I found a nice hotel that welcomes pets. 

I checked in and got settled. Once I let Princess out of her cage, I got my phone and called Stacy.

S: Hello?

C: Stacy!

S: Cece! Did your flight land?

C: Yeah, I'm at my hotel

S: Great, well, the rehearsal dinner is at 7, and we can talk for the whole night if you want

C: Oh wow, you have a rehearsal dinner? Must be a lot of people

S: Zach insisted on inviting all of his YouTube friends

C: HAHA, really?

S: Yeah, but they're fun, and Zach really wanted them there.
