chapter 30: very missed

The past few days were not good for Harry. Many people were walking around with badges. On one side of them was in big letters something about Cedric being the best Triwizard champion. On the other side of the badge stood: Potter stinks

Harry had one encounter with Cedric, who was hanging out with his friends, including Elijah. Harry was very happy to see Elijah was not wearing one of the stupid badges. He had informed Cedric about the first task being dragons, and right after that Harry had an encounter with Ron. He had told him to stay away from him, which didn't really bother Ron.

Oh yeah, that's not all. Harry also got made fun of by Malfoy, but Moody stepped in and turned Draco into a ferret. He would have kept bouncing ferret Draco up and down if McGonagall didn't stop him.

After that incident happened, Moody took Harry with him to his office to discuss a plan for the first task. He had told Harry to play with his strengths, so Harry was now on his way to Davina to ask her if she had any ideas of what the best way to get through the first take could be.

He didn't see her anywhere in the common room but Hermione was there, with Ron. The moment Ron saw Harry he immediately tried to pull Hermione away but she send him an angry look and nicely greeted Harry.

"Hey Hermione, I was wondering if you have seen Davina?"

Harry looked at Ron, but he didn't return the look even tho he knew Harry was looking at him. Hermione sighed. She knew they both secretly missed the other, even though they were both too stubborn to admit it.

She shook her head. "I haven't seen her but I think she mentioned that she was going to hang out with Elijah earlier. You should check the Hufflepuff common room if you can get in."

Harry smiled at Hermione. "Thanks, see you later."

Hermione smiled back and sent him an apologetic look while gesturing to Ron.

Quickly, Harry made his way to the Hufflepuff common room and waited for a random Hufflepuff girl to ask her how to get in. She helped him out without asking questions and Harry was let into the bright and cozy common room. He spotted Davina and Elijah sitting in a corner, talking. Harry couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two siblings bonding after spending so many years apart.

Within seconds, Davina had noticed Harry and she motioned for him to come over.

He did and greeted Elijah and Davina. "What's up Henry?"

Elijah looked a bit confused but Harry chuckled as he sat down next to Davina. Over the past few days, Davina had stuck to the nickname and Harry secretly loved it.

"Well..." Harry started and he told them about what Moody had told him about having to use his strengths.

"Well that's easy. You should use your broom." Davina said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Harry frowned. "I'm not allowed a broom."

"You're allowed a wand though." Elijah joined in, to which Davina nodded.

"Exactly." She said. "Use your wand to summon the broom. I even bet you'll get extra points for that, if you survive of course." She added the last part with a grin on her face, but secretly she feared that would become the truth.

Harry smiled at the two. "Thank you guys, you're both brilliant."

The rest of the day they hung out with the three of them, until it was time for Davina and Harry to get back to their own common room.

It was not very busy since many people had already gone to bed. Harry and Davina also decided to go to bed, because the first task would be tomorrow.

Before the two separated their ways Davina stood still, making Harry stop as well.
