Davina and Harry both kept their promise for the next couple of weeks. They didn't label their relationship as something specific and they were just very close friends. Their new friendship consisted mostly of forehead kisses from Harry and cheek kisses from Davina. The two cuddled way more than they did before, and sometimes when one of them felt brave enough, they would give the other a very small peck on the lips, causing the other person to blush heavily.
Ron and Hermione would often find the two sitting in front of the fireplace with Caramel nestled in between them and they would smile at their two best friends.
Today was not one of those days. It was the evening before the second task and Harry was extremely stressed out because they still didn't have any solution on how Harry was supposed to breathe under water for an hour.
Harry, Davina, Hermione and Ron were in the library, desperately looking through many books to find something that could help Harry out.
"There's nothing! How is Harry supposed to do this task if there's not even a way of doing it?" Ron exclaimed. Funnily, he was the person who was doing the least research, but he was the person who whined the most about nothing useful being in the books.
Hermione scoffed. "Of course there is something. We just have have to look very well, and maybe it would help if you looked as well Ronald." Ron sighed at her small lecture and turned to Harry. "Look, Harry. Just stick your head under water and yell at the merpeople to give back what they took, I'm sure that'll do."
Harry sighed and rested his head on the book he was reading, which was on the table. Davina felt really bad they didn't have anything to help him yet so she walked up behind him and lowered herself so she could hug him from behind.
She rested her chin on his shoulder and softly said: "You should get some sleep, we'll continue looking and we can tell you tomorrow."
Before Harry could say anything, Ginny Weasley came walking into the library. "Hey guys, professor McGonagall has asked me to tell Davina and Hermione that they are expected in her office."
Davina raised herself from Harry's shoulder and Harry immediately missed her touch. Hermione and Davina furrowed their eyebrows at each other and then at Ginny. "Like. right now?" Davina asked and Ginny nodded.
"See you later, keep looking." Hermione said to Ron and Harry as she walked after Ginny.
Davina didn't follow the two girls yet and reached down again to kiss Harry's cheek."Don't feel bad if you're going to let Ron continue looking. Please get some sleep." She said softly before also following after Ginny.
Right after Davina passed him, Ron heard: 'Ron better help him now.' In his mind. He knew about the strange things Davina had going on with her mind, but he had never been a part of it before. He frowned his eyebrows and started reading in a book again.
Walking into McGonagall's office, Davina saw Hermione, Elijah and a blonde girl she didn't know standing in front of the desk. "Ah, miss Black. Thank you for coming." McGonagall said and she motioned for Davina to stand next to the others.
"What's going on?" Davina asked and she looked at the others, but they didn't seem to have a clue either.
"For the second task tomorrow, we needed to take something important from each champion to rescue from the black lake. These important things are you." McGonagall explained and Davina started to understand why she was there.
She assumed Elijah was Cedric's to safe, since they were dating. The little girl must be for Fleur, they looked very alike. Hermione was probably Krum's, because they went to the ball together. That meant, Davina's was Harry's. When she realized that, a small smile was shown on her face, although she was worried for Harry.
