Rachel POV

We get to the fair and my jaw dropped. I saw big roller coasters, Ferris wheels, drop towers, food places, and those swinging things that I don't know the name of. I haven't been to the state fair since Dominic left. It was our special place and whenever we would pass it, I would cry.

I didn't realize a tear drop streamed down my face, until Dom wiped it. He looked at me, worry clear in his eyes..

"Hey, don't cry. Do you not like it? Do you wanna go back home?" He asked.

"No, it's just I haven't been here since we were 9." I chuckled, half-heartedly. He grabbed my hand and started to stroke it with his thumb. I guess he remembered how to calm me down. When we were little and I was angry or sad, he would take my hand and stroke it with his thumb. I don't know how, but it always relaxed me.

I looked up, to find him staring at me. "I'm sorry. I didn't know this was a bad place for you." He ducked his head in disappointment. I've always loved how much he cared about me.

I smiled at him. "Dom, look at me." He looked up, his eyes red. "This was never a bad place for me. In fact it was and still is my favorite place. It's just- it was my favorite place with you." I smiled sadly at him.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be here with you. Do you still wanna go?" He asked. I nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He smiled at that and then we entered the fair. It was even more beautiful on the inside than on the outside. Lights were streamed everywhere, children running around with cotton candy. It was amazing to say the least.

Dominic saw my happy expression and said, "I love it too. It gives off that 'carefree' vibe." I knew exactly what he meant. I just nodded until I saw a big yellow roller coaster, with big loops and dips. My eyes widened and I tugged on Dom's hand.

"Can we go on that one?! Please!" I exclaimed like a child. I absolutely loved roller coasters. Dominic, on the other hand, didn't like them very much. In fact, the last time we went on one, he almost peed his pants and threw up after we got off. I found it hilarious.

He looked at me with scared eyes. "Rachel, you know I don't like roller coasters." He whined. I was determined to get on that roller coaster.

"Pwetty, pwetty, pwetty, pwease! Come on! It's just one! After that, we won't have to go on anymore." I stated.

He arched an eyebrow. "Promise?" I smiled.

"Promise." And with that, we went in the direction of the roller coaster. The line wasn't very long, which was great, considering it was a pretty big coaster. When we finally reached the end of the line, we got on. I, personally, wanted to go in the front, but Dominic sent me a death glare, the look saying 'If you dare take me to the front, I will throw you off a bridge'. I got the message, so we just went in the middle.

The guy was checking the restraints, until Dom practically yanked the guy back to his seat.

"Are you sure this thing is secure? Like, are you sure I'm not gonna fall out? Am I gonna die? Has this even been tested?" He kept on asking the guy questions. The guy looked annoyed, while I was eating back laughter. Dom looked like he was gonna shit his pants.

"Sir, you are going to be fine." Was all the attendant said, walking away before Dominic could ask anymore questions. I laughed and Dominic glared at me. I brushed it off, knowing he could never stay mad at me.

I grabbed his hand before the guy on the intercom said, "Alright guys! In 3... 2... 1!" The ride started moving upwards and Dominic was trying to be calm. He kept on saying to himself "I'm not gonna die, I'm not gonna die...". Then, he lost it when we tipped over and were rushing down the slope. I have never heard a man scream so loud. I was pretty calm throughout the ride, I did get a little scared, but I was cool.
