Dominic POV

I think I had forgotten how to speak. What the actual fuck is going on? I think I just heard Kyle say that he loved Jacob. Our best friend, Jacob. I'm pretty sure my whole face had paled and my head was hung, deep in thought. The only words I could muster were, "Did you just say what I thought you said?" I lifted my head and looked him in the eye. I could tell he was being serious.

"Yes," he sighed, tugging at the ends of his hair. "I'm in love with my best friend. Who is straight and already in a relationship with that thing." He hissed. It was pretty clear to me that he wasn't very fond of Anna.

It was my turn to take a deep breath. "How long have you- uh been in love with him?" I asked.

"Since sophomore year," he muttered, but I heard him loud and clear. I gasped. How could someone love someone for so long?

"Whoa." I was shocked to say the least. "Kyle, you have really gotten into it this time," I sighed.

"I know and I don't know what to do! I've tried moving on, but it never works. I've dated some guys and they were all very nice, but whenever I was with them, I would constantly compare them to him. I also had to make up some lie about meeting up with a girl or going over to a friends' house, so it's not easy trying to get into a relationship. Jacob's smart and all, but he's always been oblivious to these kinds of things and you know it." It was true. The guy had brains, but was truly oblivious to someone liking him. A thought popped into mind.

"When did you even start to feel feelings for him?" He smiled at that question. It must have been a good memory.

"It all started when we were 15...

Kyle POV

We were outside on our bikes, going to Dominic's house. Jacob and I always loved being outside and just the nature in general. He looked so calm, riding on his bike, like nothing had ever happened to him. Well, that wasn't exactly true.

When we were little, I'd say 10 years old, Jacob was picked on a lot. I don't even know why. Yes, he was a bit scrawny, but that isn't a reason to pick on someone. Anyways, they would call him names, resulting in me and Dom backing him up. Jake had always told us that it wasn't anything to fuss about, but I could tell he was getting really hurt.

It stopped permanently when he was 11, but then Jake's dad left him. His parents relationship wasn't the best, so his dad just packed up everything and left. He left a note for him, but he didn't bother reading it. It was now only his mom and sister.

That had been a low point in his life, but Nico and I were always there for him. He eventually got better and I had always admired him for that. No matter what, Jacob always got through the bad things, just like a soldier.

We were now at Dom's house and rang the bell. His mom came out and told us that he was sick. Jake and I told her that we hope he gets better soon and left the Butler house.

"Hey, Ky?" Jacob said, as he rode down the hill.

"Yeah, Jakey?"

"You wanna go to the park?" I bet he already knew the answer, but that didn't stop him from asking.

"YES!" I exclaimed, jumping on my bike and almost crashing into a trash can. He bursted out laughing. I hadn't noticed before, but he had a really nice smile. It was contagious.

We got to the park 5 minutes later and put our bikes on the bike rack. I raced over to the swing and started moving my legs, trying to get higher. I then felt a pair of hands push me, making me squeak in surprise. I turned around and saw that it was Jacob.
