7 years later
Dominic POV
It was our 7 year anniversary together. Rachel an I have been through hell and back, but we managed to make it. After I had came back to life, they kept me in the hospital for a great amount of time, but I didn't mind. Rachel was there with me every step of the way.
We have both just graduated from Mississippi State. Rachel always wanted to go there and I didn't really care which college I went to. I just wanted to never leave her again.
After what had happened with Johnny, he was sent to prison for life. That made us feel a little better, but we were always cautious. Since that while drama, Jacob and Kyle had to go back to California, but after they graduated high school, they decided to move here.
Niall and Kayla on the other hand, they were something else. They had two children. A boy and a girl named Jackson and Lydia. Niall picked out the girl's name and Kayla picked out the boys' name. They moved into a big house, but managed to come and visit us still.
Getting back to the point, today was our anniversary and I wanted to do something special. I gathered everyone to help me and I hoped she liked it. I was going to propose to Rachel.
I've been wanting to do it for ages, but I never found a perfect way to ask her, or what kind of ring she would prefer. Luckily, Kayla picked that out and when she showed it to me, it was gorgeous. It was a simple band with a diamond. There were also words inscribed, saying 'I will love you forever and always'. It reminded me of our lockets an the bracelet. I have still never taken it off.
I also wrote a song for her and I was going to take her to one of out favorite places. Being the weird nerds we are, I was going to leave her clues, so she could find me. I found it both fun and romantic, knowing she would like it too.
I rented a band to play with me while I sang her the song. That song took me nearly three months to write, but it was worth it. I would do anything just to make her happy.
I was now calling Rachel, to tell her that I had something special planned for her that night.
"Dommy, you don't have to anything. We can just stay in and watch movies like we always do." She said on the other line.
"No, tonight is gonna be special. I'm making sure everything is planned perfectly."
"There's no point in arguing, is there?"
"You know me so well."
"I hate you."
"I love you, too, RachyBear."
"Yeah, yeah." I chuckled at her response. "Do I need to dress up in anything fancy?"
"Yes, you can wear that pretty red dress that I simply adore on you."
I could feel her blushing fromm here. "Anything for you, doofus."
"That's the spirit." I was about to hang up, when she told me to not leave. "Miss me already, beautiful?"
"Yes, in fact I do," I could tell she was being serious this time. "I just want you to know that I love you. Without you, I don't know where I'd be."
"I love you, too, Rachel. With all my heart."
"Alright, now leave and do what you gotta do. I don't feel like waiting." I chuckled again.
"Ok, I'll be there around 9." We said our goodbyes and now, it was up to me to make this the day the greatest.
I was now at the dry cleaners because I wanted to have my tux ready. Don't judge me. I wanted to look nice for her.
