Rachel POV
Friday night
So, tonight was the party and I don't know what to wear. I mean, should I go casual or classy? This is Niall we're talking about, I thought to myself. Yeah, I should probably go casual. But what do I wear?! I actually wanted to look nice for Dominic. I just go with a red blouse and black skinny jeans with a pair of converse. I hope this is good enough.
"Rachel! Kayla's here!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.
"Alright, I'll be there in a second! Just need to grab my stuff!" I yelled back. Lets see. I have my phone, my bag, my wallet. Yep, that's it. I quickly ran downstairs and see Kayla. Wow, she looked really nice.
She was wearing a blue top that was short sleaved and had ruffles on the bottom. She had tight white skinny jeans and a pair of heels, so she looked taller.
"Well don't you look fancy!" I teased her. She hates it when I do that.
"Yeah, yeah. Let's just go. You look really pretty by the way." She said as we got in her car.
"Thanks, Koala. Bye mom! Love you!" I yelled from the driveway.
"Bye, sweetie! Love you too and have a good time!" I just gave her a thumbs up and then we left to Niall's house.
At the party
We arrived at Niall's house at 10:30. Not too late. Ni was quite popular, so his house was filled with tons of people and a whole lot of alcohol. Being the Irish lad he was, he sure did love beer, but we were cool with it. He never got too out of hand. There was one time when he was pissed drunk and he streaked all through the neighborhood, singing some Irish tune. Luckily, Kayla filmed it all, but we didn't post it because we're not that cruel. Although, when he was sober, the next day, Kayla and I made so much fun of him, that by the end of it, he was liteally beetroot red. It was hilarious.
"Ayyyyy! It's my two favorite people in the world!" Niall said running toward us, arms open.
"Awww!" Kayla and I cooed as we ran towards him too. When we were finally close enough, he ran past us and hugged the bush instead. "Dick!" I heard Kayla yell.
"I'm kidding," he said releasing the bush. "Come here and give Nialler a hug." We ran over and jump-hugged him so we all fell over and ended up in a laughing fit. We all stopped when we saw a handsome figure with a beautiful voice speak. Dominic.
"Awww. I don't get a hug." Dom pouted. I quickly got up and gave him a tight hug.
"There now you've gotten your hug. Happy now?" I asked him, smiling. I reluctantly released him.
"Yeah, I'm good now." He said with a twinkle in his eyes. I was staring in his eyes and his staring at mine. I don't know how long we were like that, until we heard a cough coming from Niall.
"Well, if you two are done having your moment, I wanna go inside and actually get this party started!" He finished. Ugh. That was embarrassing. Why did he have to say that? Now I know I'm blushing. I just brushed it off with a laugh.
"Yeah, let's go inside. It's getting pretty chilly." And awkward, I added in my head.
We soon get into the house and music is blasting from all directions, lots of alcohol in the cooler, in the kitchen, and a lot of people dancing. Some were just chilling and talking to friends or making out with their dates. Yep. This is a Horan party.
"Niall this party is sick!" Dominic had to yell over the blaring music.
"Thanks, man. Here! Drink this!" Niall said to him, handing him a red, plastic cup.
"What is this?"
"It's beer! I'm assuming you've never drinked before?" Nialler chuckled.
He just simply shook his head and tipped his head back, chugging the beverage in one drink.
"I'm guessing you like it then?" Niall laughed.
"That's amazing! Can you get me another one?" He asked, enthusiastically.
"Yeah. Here." He gave him another cup. "You wanna dance, Kayla?"
"Sure! Hold on!" Kayla said, as she grabbed a beer and chugged it like there was no tomorrow. She had always been a beer girl and never liked those girly drinks. "Let's go!" She grabbed his hand and left into the living room to dance.
Now, it was only me and Dom. Ugh. What do I say?
"You look really nice tonight, Rachel." That deep voice told me. I think I'm melting.
"Thanks, Dommy," I said, giving him my biggest smile. "You look really good too. Your hair has gotten even more luscious." He laughed at that.
"I almost forgot how much you loved my hair. I swear, if you could, I think you'd marry it." It was true. There was no denying it.
I gasped, dramatically. "WHO SAID I COULDN'T?!"
"Ummm. The president?" He said trying not to laugh.
"Well, screw him. I'll marry it anyways." I wink at him. That sets off the ridicilous laughter that comes from me and Dominic.
When we finally settle down, Dominic speaks. "Well, enough of this hair marrying and president crap. Let's dance." He said as he takes my hand and drags me to the dance floor.
Oh no. I can't dance. When I say I can't dance, it literally means I can't dance. Whenever I dance, I look like a mix between a dying whale and an ostrich. Don't ask.
"Dominic! I know we haven't seen each other in years, but I forget to mention that I can't dance! I'll look ridicilous." I said as I tried to knock some sense into him.
"Rachel. I forgot to tell you that I can't dance either. Don't stress. Just go with the flow." As he said that It's My Birthday by will.i.am came on. I loved this song!
"Fine, but I hope you know what you're getting yourself into."
"It's fine RachyBear. Just chill and let the music take you." Hmm. Let the music take me. Alright.
It turns out, I wasn't that bad, but I still wanted to crawl into a hole and stop myself from dancing. "See? That wasn't so hard now, was it?"Dominic asked as we went into the kitchen to get a drink.
"I guess it was ok, but I'm not doing it again!" I laughed and soon he was laughing too.
Then, I heard a door slam. Looks like another person decided to join the party. I paid no mind to it and just kept on chatting with Dominic, until I heard footsteps coming toward us. The curiosity got the best of me, so I turned around and saw someone I never wanted to see for the rest of my life.
It was my ex-boyfriend, Johnny. Johnny Anderson. He was shoving people out the way, walking in our direction, and he did not look happy. At all.
