Chapter 14

Dominic POV

"JACOB! KYLE!" I yelled and ran over to my two best friends. I engulfed them in hugs and laughs. We pulled away after what felt like 5 minutes, but in reality was about 15 seconds. I turned back to the rest of my friends and had a big grin on my face. "Is this the present?" I exclaimed and pointed to my friends who chuckled. They all laughed and nodded.

"Yeah, babe. Do you like it?" Rachel asked, looking self conscious of herself. I went over to her and kissed her. I heard a wolf whistle that sounded like Niall. I turned back and glared at him, but smiled to let him know I was kidding. I turned back to Rachel and said, "Of course I love it."

She blushed. "If it wasn't for Ni, then I couldn't be able to have them here."

I looked at Nialler. "Awww, Niall. Come here." I cooed. He acted girly to be funny. He giggled like a school girl and gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek. Me and Niall were very platonic, so this was normal. He was like the brother I never had and I was the same to him. Then, I heard a cough coming from the group of Californians.

"I think we need a proper introduction." Kyle sassed me. I hung my head and let out a laugh. Still the same old red headed sassy pants.

"People never change, do they Jacob?" I asked. Jacob chuckled.

"You have no idea." Jacob said, Kyle glaring at him, but the stare also held something else. Adoration? The red head looked back at me expectantly.

I cleared my throat. I looked towards Ni, Kayles, and Rachel and said, "The sassy one and one of my best friends is Kyle." I turned to Kyle. "Kyle, this is Rachel, my girlfriend." I hugged and pecked her on the cheek. "This is Kayla." I poked her in the stomach, making her giggle. "And this is little Nialler." Niall shot me a look. "Sorry, his name is Niall. Happy now?"

Niall chuckled. "Very."

I pointed to Jacob. "This, right here, is my other best friend, Jacob. This guy introduced me to the drums." I put my arm around Jacob's shoulders and winked at him. He laughed.

I looked at the girl. She had blond hair, blue eyes, and was wearing a pink dress, cut just above her knees. I have never seen her in my life and I felt a little bad for leaving her out, so I said, "I don't believe we've officially met. What's your name?" I asked her.

She giggled and said, "Anna. I'm Jacob's girlfriend." As she said that, I saw Kyle get all tensed up. He only did that when he was uncomfortable. What was up with him today?

"Well, nice to meet you," I shook her hand. "I'm sure we're gonna be great friends." I smiled at her. I turned back to the group. "What do you guys wanna do today?"

"Well," Jacob said. "That's up to you, Birthday Boy." He snickered at the name. I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Ugh. There's gonna be a Mardi Gras celebration thing. You guys wanna go?" Rachel and Kayla grinned.

"But I thought Mardi Gras was celebrated on February or something. And isn't that only in New Orleans?" Kyle asked me.

"Mississippi is different. Since we're not New Orleans, we like to do it at the end of the year in November. And instead of Tuesday we do it on Friday. Because Mississippi is cool and shit." I smirked, trying to act cool, but they all saw through me and laughed.

"Whatever man. What time does it start?"

"12. It's like 11:15, so do you guys wanna come in my house and chill for a bit?" They all nodded. We entered my house, when my mom came in. I'm guessing she saw Kyle and Jacob, because her eyes immediately lit up.
