Chapter 19

Rachel POV

Right after Dominic showed up, the whole gang barged into my room.

"Rachel!" They all screamed simueltaneously. Kayla was the first one to hug me. She immediately bursted into tears, me comforting her. Then came Niall, being the big baby he was, he cried too. Ni was snuggled into my arms and sniffling, while I was patting his hair, saying everything would be alright. After he left me, he went over to Kayla.

"Kayla, I have to tell you something." I smiled, knowing exactly what he was gonna do. "For the longest time now, I have had the biggest crush on you. Ever since 9th grade, when I didn't know a single thing, you helped me. You were my first friend, coming here to Mississippi and now my best friend in the whole entire universe. Every time I hold your hand, or when we're going to sleep and you have had a bad dream and sleep with me, while I sing to you. Or when I write you a song and you get all smiley. Or when you get really angry and you start to cuss in English and Spanish because you don't know which language to pick. Of all the things in the world, I simply adore you. I know I'm probably a chicken for taking 3 years to do this, but Kayla Julliards, will you be my girlfriend?" I tried really hard not to cry at this moment. That speech was just beautiful and Niall's pale blue eyes looked even bluer. I saw Kayla start to tear up again, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she walked right up to him and kissed him. Jacob wolf whistled.

"WHOOO! FINALLY!" I heard Dominic scream. They pulled away and looked at him. "You don't know how long we have waited for that." I chuckled at Dom's statement.

"Whatever, man. I'll beat your ass later." Niall turned back to Kayla. " So, is that a yes?"

"Of course it's a yes. Te amo, Niall." I remembered what that meant. It meant 'I love you'.

"Te amo." Niall kissed her again. When they pulled apart, Kyle coughed.

"Ugh, not to break the love fest you guys are having, but we have an announcement," Ky said, turning to Jacob with a smile of pure adoration.

Jacob suddenly looked nervous, but when Kyle took his hand he seemed to calm himself. He took a deep breath and said, "Kyle is my boyfriend and I love him. I hope you all can accept that and support us, but even if you don't, that will never stop my love for this beautiful man that is holding my hand. I love you, Ky." He bent down and gave him a kiss, which made Kyle blush a deep red.

"Aww, group hug!" Nialler yelled. I laughed and soon enough everyone was around my bed, sharing a big hug.

"I love you guys," I said.

"We love you too, Rachel," everyone said. And everyone enjoyed that moment, having the best time in a hospital where I could have died.

It had been 2 weeks after they let me out. They made me stay and made sure I did nothing stupid. Just thinking about what had happened gave me a headache. Luckily, I wasn't alone in the hospital. I tried to tell him, but Dominic would never go home. Since I had entered the hospital, he told me that he would stay here each night and make sure that I was okay. He would have to sit in an uncomfortable chair and he started to complain about his back, so I told him that he could sleep with me on the bed. He was wary at first but gave in to my pleads. The nurse didn't seem to mind. She even thought we were 'cute'.

I was now rolling in a wheel chair to the car. I thought it was pointless, but the hospital insisted. I got to the car and I finally was able to stand. Wheel chairs made me feel like a cripple. I think Dom could sense how I felt, because he started to chuckle. I glared at him.

"Aww, babe. Don't be like that." He pinched my cheek making me smile. I hated, yet loved how he could do the simplest of gestures and make me all giddy and happy.
