Meredith stared at empty the doorway, that only seconds ago was filled with Addison's prescense. She could feel her heart racing in her chest, beating against her ribcage, pounding in her head. Her breathing began to quicken as she tried to flip through her mind, wanting to recall everything that had just happened. Why did it all go wrong? She should have never said possibly: she should've never lied. If Addison really knew the truth, maybe she wouldn't have left. Would she?

Meredith could feel adrenaline circling through her veins. She sighed, closing her eyes and taking in her surroundings for the last time. It was so quiet, so peaceful in here. The emptiness of the room comforted her, it made her feel so safe. But she knew she couldn't stay here. Before she could re-think her decision, Meredith pushed her dusty-blonde hair out of her face and lifted her foot to take a step forward. She faced towards the door, taking a last look at the office that surrounded her, before rushing out and around the corner.

Meredith felt her body brush past tons of people, hearing moans and grunts in reply, but her adrenaline made it hard to care. She barged through crowds of doctors, her eyes frantically looking for the figure of Addison. The familiar red slim dress Addi always wore was everything that her eyes longed to see. "Meredith," called a voice from behind her, causing her body to spin round. She hoped to find herself face-to-face with Addison, but instead in-front of her stood Cristina. She was panting heavily, sweat clammed against her forehead.

"You looking for Addison?" Cristina asked, taking a heavy breathe between each syllable. She clasped her hands onto her stomach, trying to calm her breathing down but failing to do so miserably. Meredith nodded in response, a puzzled look covering her face, questioning the state that Cristina was in.

"You're a fast runner." Cristina stated with a slight chuckle in her voice, before turning round towards the exit of the hospital, and lifting her hand up to face a woman walking out the door. Her finger pointed Addison out to Meredith, who let out a slight sigh of relief and quick glimpse of a smile. She looked up at Cristina briskly, shooting a kind nod of thanks towards her, before turning on her heels and rushing towards the giant glass doors.

"Addison!" She called, which seemed to make every doctor stop in their tracks, except for Addi. She carried on heading outside, walking out into the drizzling rain. Meredith's feet pounded against the stone floor, the sound echoing through the silence that filled the room.

"Addison please!" Meredith shouted, this time being only a couple metres away from her. Addison's head flinched round to see Meredith, who by now looked a lot like Cristina, her face sweaty and red.

She tried to slow her breathing down, looking up at Addison as the two met eyes for what felt like the 100th time today. "You can't leave." Meredith blurted, causing Addison to turn her whole body round, revealing the familiar red dress that was hidden under her coat. "Apparently there's nothing stopping me." Addison sighed, releasing the eye-contact and lowering her head. Meredith walked closer to her, to only be replied with Addison backing away.

"Of course there's something stopping you." Meredith sighed, taking in a deep breathe. "Addison I hate it here, I can't stand it. I never could understand myself. Why I couldn't just be happy with Derek, Or any other guy for that matter.

But..then, then I met you. You were the light in my life, Addi. You made everything and everyone make sense. You made up for all the hateful people, for every horrible thing this place has thrown at me.

Addison, you're everything,

I can't live without you."

(DEREK SPEECH IN SEASON11 AJDJFI) carry on :)

The silence between the two penetrated them, the rain falling around the couple. Meredith's hair was drenched and cold, causing her to shiver slightly, but she found it hard to care as she stood waiting impatiently for Addison to reply. All she got though was a smile back, the world continuing to move around them.

"Meredith-" Addison started finally, but was interrupted by the sound of another mans voice. They both turned to face the figure striding towards them. He was wearing a black jacket and dark blue jeans that were slightly ripped on the knees. He walked up to Addison, placing a hand gently on her shoulder.

"Hey babe." He said cheerfully, causing Addison to jerk up at him.

Meredith felt a rain drop fall down her forehead as she stared at the two people infront of her. "Oh uh-" Addison stuttered, pushing her hair behind her ears. "Jason, this is Meredith. Meredith... this is Jason. My boyfriend." She looked up at Meredith who started to back away, clasping her fingers round her handbag as if for dear life.

"And soon to be fiancé!" Jason stated as if he was trying to make things worse.
