"So... you're gonna tell me what that was about?" Cristina chuckled, as she slowly lowered her head and rested it on Meredith's shoulder. Her wiry jet-black locks fell behind Mer's back, bouncing up and down with ever step they took. Without a second glance they left the hospital behind them and headed towards Mer's house.
"I have no idea what you're talking about.." Mer replied, forcing an even louder chuckle to form out of Cristina's mouth. "Sure you don't." She said rolling her eyes, but decided to let the subject go: she was just happy that Meredith had figured out her problem. She got her person back, and that's all she needed right now.
(a/n: Please let me know if any suggestions or ideas you guys have. This is my first story I've written and so I'm looking for as many ideas and improvements as possible. Hope you're enjoying it so far though xx)
The morning after
Meredith awoke to the sound of George's voice echoing throughout the house. He opened the door to her bedroom, poking his head through the gap in between. He stared at Meredith who was still half-asleep. She was grabbing hold of her blanket and pulling it closer to herself, trying to hide her face from the deathly glare coming from George. He shook his head in disbelief. "GET UP YOU TWO!" he shouted, before removing his head and slamming the door shut once again.
Meredith slowly sat up in her bed, as the harsh sunlight from the open window pierced though her eyes. It was a sunny day today, which was rare during Seattle's winters. She looked away from the window, trying to shield herself from the light, leaving her face to stare at the figure layed beside her. "Cristina get up." she whispered, taking the pillow she was just layed on and playfully hitting Cristina. This caused a giggle to escape both of their mouths, and Cristina's eyes to slowly widen. "George is right you know, rounds are in an hour." Meredith mumbled before rolling herself out of bed and heading down to the kitchen for breakfast.
"Ah look who finally got out of bed," chuckled Izzie before talking a large bite of her butter-covered toast. "Where's Cristina?" she asked but was replied with a large grunt coming from the doorway. Cristina stumbled in after Meredith, clearly still half-asleep, and sat herself down at the table. They both watched as Izzie placed freshly-made scrambled eggs in front of them causing their faces to lighten up. The two looked up at Izz in gratitude before digging into their breakfast.
"Why are you two so tired anyway?" Izzie asked as she watched Cristina shove a spoonful of egg into her mouth. "Cristina stayed over last night and so we stayed up till like 4am," Meredith laughed taking a sip of orange juice out of a already half-empty cup. "Hey that's mine!" Izzie shouted, as she swung her backpack over her shoulder. She eyed Meredith up and down in disapproval but before Izzie could say another word Mer had gulped down the rest of her drink, letting out a sarcastic sigh just to rub it into Izzie's face. "Bitch!" Izzie said in reply, with a slight giggle in her voice, before turning on her heels and heading towards the door.
Cristina and Meredith sat in silence eating their breakfast as the sound of Izzie and George arguing echoed from the front door. Their was something going on between the two of them, but Meredith wasn't too worried about it, seeing as she was already occupied with everything else in her life. She scrapped up the excess amount of eggs left on her plate, shoving them down her throat before heading towards the sink. But before she could reach it she was stopped in her tracks but a voice that came from somewhere in the house.
"There is someone here for you Mer!" Izzie shouted with a slight confused tone in her voice
"It's me." Addison called back in reply, causing panic to swarm through Meredith's body. Her hold around the plate in her hand loosened, as it slipped out of her grasp and hit the floor.
