Welcome to soft yet angsty Katsuki
Katsuki sat at the dorms dining table. The room was bright, no shadows for danger to hide in. Strangely, no one had bothered him yet. He had headphones on, ignoring both his internal thoughts and the outside world. He focused on the essay in front of him. Eraser shavings littered the table.
It was after dinner. He'd called for pizzas. Something pretty much everyone ate. The few who didn't scavenged for leftovers in the kitchen. He felt like he could binge again, something he did when he came home usually. Already feeling the urge to stuff food into his mouth even though he'd just ate.
"The hell?" he mumbled as he reread his essay. It was jumbled and made no sense. Leaning over the to rewrite the paper, on a new sheet. As he did though, a shadow was cast across the table, he looked up, concealing a flinch. It was only Kaminari, he took off his headphones
"Fuck you want, Pikachu?"
"Nothin'. Whatcha working on?" the thin boy shrugged
"None of your fuckin' business"
"Is it the essay we did?" Katsuki simply nodded, scowling. "Can I have your rough draft?"
"What? You didn't fucking finish already?"
"Uh-"
"Tch, fine" he rolled his eyes as the discount Pikachu celebrated "Dunce face sit down"
The electrified boy did as told, with a cute smile and everything."Here, Don't copy it exactly" He pushed a blank paper, pencil, and his quickly reorganized rough draft at Kaminari. Both wrote in silence for a few minutes. Although Kaminari would huff every once in a while in frustration. None of those times had Katsuki commented.
"You're different today" the yellow haired boy finally spoke. Katsuki glanced up from his paper silently.
"Aizawa let you sleep all day. What happened?"
"None of your fucking business" Katsuki grumbled, ignoring the warmth that someone noticed and cared. Kaminari sighed.
"It kinda is dude. We're friends right? And friends help each other"
They we're friends? Katsuki's breath hitched. Like real friends? He;'d always wanted to have a real friend. Someone that he could feel safe with. Izuku was never that. He would always tattle what Katsuki did to everyone. Then his mother would find out. And he'd been punished. And he didn't like being punished.
"Bakugou?" Mother was coming, she was going to get him. She'd lock him away and hurt him.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry" he whispered over and over. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry"
"BAKUGOU!"He jolted upright, shaking hands going up to stop the hit. Yet nothing came. Tentatively, he opened an eye. Where was she? He sat up fully, uncurling and looking around. Where'd she go? Where is she hiding?
"Where the hell?" he whispered before his eyes caught on Kaminari.
"Dude..." the boy's voice was low.
"Fuck, ah- sorry you had to see that" It felt odd, apologising to a classmate. It felt both right and wrong.
"No I'm sorry I probably caused it"
"No! I fucked up, uh- Just- Just forget it happened"
"Not going to happen, but I understand. We all have off days, man" Katsuki huffed, pulling out his phone to check the time.
"Any-fucking-way" he was interrupted by a laugh
"You can't put a swear there!"
"Can and did, discount Pikachu" he smirked "So any-fucking-way I want to watch a movie, are you coming?" he said, giving up halfway on the bad attitude.
Katsuki got no answer so he started walking away towards the lounge. He sat down and reached for the remote. Only to have it grabbed by Kaminari. "What're we watching?" the boy questioned.
"Fuck if I know" Katsuki responded, "You pick" he watched Kaminari squat down and look through the movies in basket. He scanned the boy over before forcing himself to look away. Now was not the time. It was never the time, not when he was such a villainous person. He frowned.
"Stop frowning sourpuss" called Kaminari, making Katsuki glare to him. "I picked the best one"
"FUCKING MEAN GIRLS?"
---
The class came down a little later to see the sleeping forms of Katsuki and Kaminari on the couch with the Mean Girls ending credits still rolling up the tv screen. Both had stained lips with Katsuki's lips tainted bright blue and Kaminari's tinged lipstick red. A pile of candy wrappers adorned the coffee table in front of them. Many photos were taken.
