Fun Fact: I'm the same height as Midoriya! [:

Katsuki ate until his stomach was full that night. Ms. Tanaka had stopped by with bread, taken one look at his red rimmed eyes, and took over, pampering him ever since. He was confused. How did he meet these rare kind people?

So now he was curled up on the couch, , Mikan under his arm providing a comforting presence. Kiniro was laying on top of the couch, watching him with hazel eyes. Koko was somewhere in the small apartment, perhaps in Aizawa's room. He'd always wanted a cat, despite everyone assuming he was a dog person.

---

Purote smiled, crouching down, hand outstretched towards one of the neighborhood cats, it nuzzled him.

"Cat's don't care if I'm a villain or not" he murmured. "They don't care if I'm a hero either. They're simple. Everyone should have one. They're better than those noisy dogs" As if on cue, someone's dog started barking, scaring the cat away. He stood and limped down the street to his usual spot, not even noticing the small figure trailing behind. He grinned when the neighborhood children waved.

"Purote!" A man called from a porch, "I'll leave them to you" he nodded and sat down and surveyed the scene. He'd always had a really good memory and never really questioned it. There were nine kids playing street soccer and three building huts out of grass for their toys. All younger than him in looks. Though he knew that seven of the ones in the street were older than him. It'd been a few weeks after the whole Jade Bats Incident. It still hurt sometimes but mostly everything but the tattoo was healed. only a few yellow bruises remained. He jolted when the cat from before rubbed against him, he smiled happily, playing with the cat.

"Aren't you cute?" he whispered, laughing when the cat simply meowed back. A yell shattered the feeling. He looked up and recounted. Three and ten. Ten. That's not right. A tall figure was on the street edge, so Purote hopped to his feet and walked to the figure. The person looked familiar and flashes of his time in the Jade Bats immediately overcame him. This guy was a druggie he'd delivered to. Instead of fear, anger came forward. He scowled, grabbing the nasty person's clothes and kicking them in their knees.

"I'm Purote and this block is mine. Don't come back" He growled, releasing small explosions from his palms into their stomach. The little whisperer in his head said to kick the guy in the nuts, and he listened, spinning to kick the guy, who realized too late and now held himself.

"Now fuck off" He practically grinned, letting go of the man. The man, however, didn't run off, he was connected to the Jade Bats. He grabbed Purote, a strained grin on his face, Purote was thrown down and kicked, but he took it. It wasn't as bad as that last day so he could take it. Easily. The neighborhood residents had other thoughts though, and the man was hit with a slash of fast moving water going as far as to cut through the clothing and first few layers of skin. After that, vines began to wrap around the man's neck. Purote watched in shock as the parents of the children stopped the man. Even children joined, using their weak quirks to defend their Purotekuta. He felt his eyes water. They were defending him? Him of all people? Why?

"Don't touch our Purote!" One kid yelled

"You villain! You hurt Purote! " Another screamed.

The man was attacked until he passed out, up in which Purote watched them drag him out of the block and out of sight

Why was he so weak? He couldn't protect them.

" Purote! Come have a popsicle!" He did as told and went home that night with a bandaged chest, a ice pack in his hand and medicinal cream in the bandages. He felt good. They assured him he was still their Purotekuta. That they wouldn't have known who the guy was otherwise. He was starting to forget that his name wasn't Purote. He was starting to forget who Katsuki was. At home and school it was just Bakugou. But here he was Purote. Strong and liked. He liked Purote better than Bakugou.

"KATSUKI BAKUGOU! Get your ass out of my kitchen!"

"S- Sorry!"

He decided. He didn't want to be a Bakugou. He just wanted to be Katsuki Purote. That's it. That's what he wanted.

Katsuki Purote, protector of block 16 and phantom member of the Jade Bats.
