𒊹︎︎︎ The Drowning Girl.

She ran outside while panting heavily as her whole form shook and her body pained because of the struggle just now. She spotted the black Honda Fit Lx as she dashed towards it.

Before she could get in, she stopped dead in her tracks as she saw two lifeless bodies on the ground with their head bent towards the right unusually.

Her palm fell over her mouth as she tried her best not to throw up. She had seen these two before, in Theo's mansion. They were one of the many bodyguards he had around.

Does Theo know where I am?

Does he know about William ?

Is he mad at me?

Many questions swirled around her mind as she kept staring at the two dead bodies. But her thoughts were broken off when she felt a cold drop of water on her head.

She looked up at the sky filled with dark clouds, just like that another drop fell and it started pouring heavily. She ran inside the car as she kept the gun and the bloodied wood on the passenger seat and drove off.

___

"Fuck!" she cursed loudly as she rotated and revolved her phone around to find any trace of signal while driving through the muddied roadway in heavy rainfall.

She tried to continuously call Theo while driving for almost 4 minutes now but to no avail. There was no signal in the woods and she blamed the trees for it.

Soon the footbridge and the river under it came to her line of sight as a small smile made it's way to her face because now she was confirmed that she was atleast going the correct way.

The tires skidded at the slippery road as she struggled to drive while continuously trying to call him. She drove above the bridge while skimming through her phone to search for Max's number and try calling him.

A sudden loud bolt of lightning jolted her in her seat as the steering wheel turned too much towards the side, the tires slipped in the swampy bridge and the car banged against the thin wooden railing.

Before Inez could contemplate whats happening or try to control the car, it grated against the railing. Her foot found the brake but no matter how much she pressed it, it just didn't work.

"Let's just say I wouldn't have played with their car before they had the accident"

William's words resonated through her mind as her eyes widened in realization. "Did he do the same with this car?" she wondered and just then a loud crack was heard, followed by the car tilting more towards the deep river.
