It had been a week since Inez's birthday and her breakdown in front of Theo. She was embarrassed, yes, yet she felt relieved and healed more. It was good to let all emotions out while he held her tightly.
Sometimes a hug could surprisingly heal and reassure you at the same time.
Since then, Inez's and Theo's relationship had grown. Slowly but surely they had started trusting each other bit by bit. Inez would always have dinner with him as they talked about his day at work.
And now, today was Monday. The day she joined the prestigious Hannigan University and she was freaking out. She had drunk 2 whole bottles of water from the morning in nervousness, an odd habit she had.
"Inez dear calm down!" Liz said as she flipped through the pile of dresses while glancing at Inez who was sitting on the floor as she looked at the ceiling emptily. Only she knew the turmoil going on inside of her.
"Liz I don't have anything to wear! They are going to hate me there and then they will boycott me and then I will live the life of a depressed, unemployed teen selling coke and drugs" Inez rambled on as Liz giggled at her antics.
"Look! I found the perfect dress!" Liz shouted as Inez snapped her head toward her, almost giving herself a whiplash. She saw Liz holding up a short baby pink dress with a white undershirt.
Inez scoffed "Wear that and freeze outside? No thanks" she said, sinking back into the wall.
"What are you wearing now?" Liz asked with a bored expression as she stood up with a hand on her hip.
Inez looked down to that she was currently in a white tank top and light blue shorts. "This" she pointed at herself.
"Do you feel cold?" Liz asked as she kept the dress on the couch and cleared her bed. Inez laughed nervously "No".
"Then wear the bloody dress! It's July for heaven's sake, it's not always cold here, only around the night though and sometimes in the morning" she murmured the last part as she continued "besides you will be back by 3 pm anyway. Get ready it's already 8:30 am or you'll be late!" Liz shouted like a worried mother as Inez giggled at her and went ahead and hugged her tightly.
"Ok ok, I promise I will get ready in 5 minutes!" Liz laughed while patting her back before parting and caressing her head "If you need anything, just know that I am always there" she commented, filling Inez's heart with joy and love as she nodded happily.
Liz smiled at her one last time before exiting the room and shutting the door behind her.
Inez breathed out as she quickly picked up the dress and changed into it. She straightened her dark brown hair and applied light pink lipstick and mascara. That's all the makeup she knew really, she was still in the learning process and YouTube played a big role in it.
