Martin's eyes opened. He was standing in a pink light.

No, no, no, not again!

He couldn't turn his head, but his eyes could still move. His brother and the rest were sitting in cages and they were all inside a large room with black metal walls. Before them was a large screen showing a massive, black robot with the logo of Varmitech Industries on its chest. It had a large jaw lined with long, sharp teeth. On each forearm was a massive gauntlet. Admiring the giant robot was-

"Hey! What are you doing?" Martin yelled angrily.

Zach turned, a smug grin on his face. "Just watching my magnum opus come together."

"Bringing progress," said Paisley Paver.

Mizutsune crushed another mechanical creature in her talons. She, along with Glavenus, Astalos, and Gammoth, had caught sight of the strange plane and decided to follow it. Astalos had spotted a group of the mechanical men carrying five unconscious individuals, after having seemingly kidnapped them. Astalos's keen eyes had caught sight of some sort of transportation vehicle that looked, according to him, "like a massive, savage beast with an insatiable appetite, devouring everything in its path" that was also laying down the gray substance called "pavement" by humans and that whoever was piloting the thing was paving indiscriminately, as if unaware or uncaring of the damage such an action could cause to the planet.

"You got all of them, Mizutsune?" Astalos landed beside her.

"I think so. I can hear talking at this side of the plane. This may be where those humans were held hostage."

"Probably. I'll call Glavenus over."

--------------------------------------

"You'll destroy the planet!" Chris shouted. "Don't you know what will happen if-"

A massive, red-hot blade suddenly sliced through one of the walls as if it was made of soft butter. A set of huge claws tore the gash further open, and a large, green-and-black dragon-like beast flew in.

Zach screamed. "Zachbots! Get those giant dragon-thingies away from me!"

An army of Zachbots and mannequins flew towards the dragon. Its crest rippled, its mouth opened, and a burst of green lightning stormed out. The green electricity jumped from robot to robot, leaving only metal husks, then struck the screen, leaving it dark and blank. One lightning bolt hit the pose beam above Martin. Another whizzed past his face.

Another monster stomped in, this one resembling a Carnotaurus, but more heavily armored and with a swordlike tail the length of its entire body. Its tail glowed red-hot. It opened its jaws and... spoke?

Its voice was a deep, masculine bass. It seemed like it was saying something, but it was in a language Martin couldn't understand. It surely didn't sound like Spanish or any of the sort. But it was shouting and clearly angry. Fire gushed from its mouth.

A pink-and-white foxlike monster rushed to the dinosaur-monster's side and said in a low, firm, clearly feminine voice, "English, Glavenus!"

The dinosaur-monster - Glavenus, presumably - stopped shouting, looked at the fox-monster, then turned back to the villains and shouted, in a heavily accented voice, "What are you doing?! Don't you know that this is illegal?!"

Zach seemed to quickly recollect himself. "It's none of your business. You don't have any right to go snooping around in what I'm doing."

The fox-monster's eyes narrowed. "Firstly, you were conducting suspicious activity. And secondly, we, as members of the Sapphire Talons, actually do have the right to investigate your suspicious actions."

"Well, I don't care!"

"You don't care, eh?" Glavenus suddenly rushed forward, pinning Zach to the wall and holding the pain of his still red-hot tail to Zach's throat. "What about now?"

Zach screamed. "Don't eat me! Please don't eat me!"

Glavenus looked disgusted. "Firstly, I would never eat a sapient being, human or otherwise. Secondly, release them," Glavenus gestured towards the Wild Kratts, "and no harm will come to you. If you do not, then I'm afraid that you will have to be taken to the emperor."

Zach gritted his teeth. "Zachbots, let the Wild Rats go."

Glavenus still didn't move his tail away until they were actually released. Then he walked over to them and looked back at the villains.

"Pull a stunt like that again, and we will not be so merciful." Turning back to the dragon-like creature, he asked, "Astalos? Do you mind having them ride on your back?"

The dragon-like creature - Astalos, apparently - grinned. "Not at all!"
