BITTER FROST NIPPED at Albedo's skin as he prepared the fire. He had sent Sucrose out to fetch him some firewood which had left him in his lonesome at the campsite. It was his last day up in Dragonspine after spending a week up in the icy mountain— a week since he had last seen you. Letters have been exchanged between the two of you since you were back in Mondstadt. He knew of your extreme hatred for the wintry weather of Dragonspine and opted not to take you and though his decision to not take you was considerate of your feelings, he didn't think of the consequences of not asking you directly.

"Mister Albedo?" Sucrose's soft spoken voice halted Albedo's train of thought. His emerald eyes flickered to his assistant who was setting down her bundle of gathered sticks. His eyes caught the white envelope in Sucrose's hand which immediately garnered his attention.

"I ran into Reckless Pallad while coming back to camp... He had a letter to deliver..." Sucrose held the white envelope out to Albedo who snatched it quite quickly.

Albedo flipped the envelope over, disappointed to see that it wasn't you who wrote to him. For the latter half of his trip, you haven't sent anything to him. He wasn't sure what had happened— in the back of his mind, he rattled his thoughts that could prompt you to not send him any letters. It left him quite bitter and upset that you weren't sending him anything.

"Mister Albedo...?" He snapped out of his internal thoughts, turning to Sucrose who was looking worriedly at him. Albedo brushed it off, occupying himself with the building of the fire but the thoughts of why you haven't sent anything to him consumed him for the rest of the trip.

It was the next day, bright and early. The snowstorm will likely come in the early afternoon which is why Albedo chose to move out early. He and Sucrose left at the crack of dawn, traversing down the mountain back home. He had asked Sucrose for advice on the matter since she was well aware of the relationship— though he wasn't secretive about it, the relationship wasn't very public.
