THE ART OF demonology was frowned upon by the Akademiya. It was a forbidden form of knowledge that no mortals should ever involve themselves in. Meddling in such dangerous arts only ever spelled misfortune for the users. But one has to admit, there was intrigue in the dark arts... and there was no denying a researcher such as yourself who found great interest in these more taboo subjects. There was far too much intrigue to allow such knowledge to escape you. Surely, if there was anyone equipped to take on the task of summoning a demon - it would be you, right?

The acquisition of the text necessary to summon a demon was difficult to say the least. Hidden behind several safety measures, it took you a few weeks to remove the charms and countermeasures one by one - making sure that you work wasn't visible to the scribes who were overseeing the secret archives and libraries.

But when it was said and done, you prepared your studio for the summoning - in hopes of studying a lesser demon in order to gain some momentum in your research of the dark arts. Meticulously, you set everything up right; the summoning circle, the sigils, just about everything...

An explosion, or more accurately, a blast of wind forced you to fall backwards as a cloud of debris blocked your vision. You coughed, waving your hand in front of your face to see who had answered your summon.

Standing before you was a tall icy-blue haired demon in the center of your summoning circle. His eyes were a shade of deep crimson, with a slit in his irises; there was no doubt about what you had summoned based on his features.

"A mortal..." His voice was chilling, the baritone made your skin crawl. "Was it you who summoned me?"

You tried to remain composed, standing up straight as you approached him cautiously with a charm that was meant to ward off evil should all things go awry. "That would be me, yes..."
