"RAZOR? COULD YOU HAND ME THE SLIME CONDENSATION?"

YOUR ATTENTION WAS fixed upon the bubbling cauldron before you, stirring it gingerly for any sort of reaction as Razor handed you a small bottle of the slimy substance. His ruby eyes were wide with awe, staring as you poured in the substance— watching as the liquid inside began spurting and spurting.

You worked diligently as a proud user of alchemy alongside Albedo and Sucrose— and indirectly, that meant that you worked with Lisa. She often taught you the many ways that mage craft and alchemy can be intertwined with one another. Though, this meant that Lisa had often shoved the responsibility of looking after Razor onto your shoulders whenever she was busy with 'work'. She called it a 'fair trade' as you and Razor were roughly the same age and he needed to befriend people anyway.

You didn't question the veracity of her supposed 'work', choosing instead to focus your attention on the young Electro user instead. Perhaps you spent a little too much time on him.

"See how it's emitting a scent? It means a reaction is occurring." Razor watched with intrigue, engrossed with the concept of science and alchemy. The slight twinkle in his eyes as they widened in fascination. The way the ends of his lips twitched upwards into a small smile. The observations you made of him, in turn, made you smile as well.

You began to notice that your heart would beat a bit faster whenever he was around. Your palms would become sweaty. Your gaze often landed upon him. Somehow, these observations slipped you— misleading you into believing it was merely some sort of sickness or cold you were experiencing.

Oh, how wrong you are.

Razor never quite fit in with the rest of human society. He was raised by wolves; taken in by mother nature and from there, only ever relied upon his instincts and gut feeling.

So when he found himself nervously fidgeting around you; Razor was confused, perplexed as to why he was acting the way he was. This warm, fluttering feeling in his stomach made him jittery. He swore that whenever he looked at you, his cheeks would glow warmer. Yet he couldn't stop but stare a bit and sometimes, just sometimes, he would catch you staring back.

He naturally believed in his own instinctive behaviors and understood your presence as something comforting and pleasing to be around. Still, it was an emotion different from his familial love of his lupical.

"What does it smell like to you?"

Razor snapped out of his trance, ruby eyes flickering to you as he watched you stirred the pot in a steady motion.

"Smells like..." Razor paused, taking a whiff of the scent wafting from the cauldron.

Razor couldn't quite describe the scent; it was something floral, sweet yet it wasn't obnoxiously fragrant. There was something natural about the scent; it deeply reminded him of a flower field. One with sunshine beaming down, casting light upon the world in its brilliance and warmth. The breeze is gentle, just enough of a gale to make the leaves whistle in a beautiful serenade of fauna. Suddenly, there was a smokiness, a heavy odor that encapsulated the scent of the sun. Summer smiled at him, the aroma of familiarity. The scent made him feel at home, safe.

"Home..." Razor's voice was quiet, just barely louder than the crackling of the firewood. He took another whiff, slowly inhaling the scent as he suddenly brushed against you. His eyes were pressed close, tranced by the smell of the potion you were brewing.

His arms began to wrap around your waist, causing you to jump from being startled by his sudden touch. Slowly, you melted into his touch, basking in his natural heat. You swore that your heartbeat could be heard, the thrumming of its rhythmic beat in your ears were as clear as day.

"Razor...?" You turned to see him clinging to you, feeling comforted by your presence. A smile grew wider on your lips the longer he embraced you.

Still pondering the emotions running rampant in your heart, you couldn't quite comprehend or verbalize that very sentiment. Unbeknownst to you, Razor was internalizing the very same thoughts— chalking it up to some natural instinct felt by people when they are around someone they feel comfortable being with. An emotion that could be felt yet not understood by either of you. An emotion that was foreign to comprehend but frequently felt in the presence of the other.

Neither of you could verbalize these emotions though it was very apparent by the gentle, albeit small gestures. Later, you were teased by Lisa of this as you never quite picked up what she was insinuating between you and Razor— her teasing smirks, her not-so-subtle hints about the two of you having a great interest and compatibility with one another.

It was a strange relationship; one where neither of you could ever say the three words embodying the emotions you two felt. Though it was obvious to all— one thing could be understood.

Actions spoke louder than words.

GOOD ENDING
