THE WANGSHENG FUNERAL Parlor has long had an association with Bubu Pharmacy as medicinal goods were happily supplied by the pharmacy in exchange for the parlor's cooperation and purchase. Embalming essentials, incense, and more— all of which you specialized in. As a half-adeptus, you were born long after the Archon War and merely heard tales of what had happened during warring times. Your mother, being an adeptus of healing, worked at the Bubu Pharmacy and became good friends with the 75th director, Hu Tao's grandfather.
Naturally, you were close to Hu Tao as the two of you were often in one another's presence. You spent most of your youth with Hu Tao, exploring the haunted forest of Wuwang Hill or taking her to the peaks of Qingyun. The two of you were basically inseparable as close friends due to your overly protective / possessive nature of her (your mother often told you this was because of your feelings for Hu Tao but you fervently disagreed). Everyday, the people of Liyue would see the two of you together— laughing and parading about.
That was, until Hu Tao took over as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and you became the patron adeptus for the Bubu Pharmacy (working alongside Qiqi and Baizhu). She became burdened with the duties as Director and you were busy helping Doctor Baizhu with his business.
Regardless, she came to visit quite frequently, briefly popping in to say 'hello' and occasionally, she came due to a minor injury. Of which, this specific occasion, Hu Tao dropped by the pharmacy thanks to her carelessness when prancing around Wuwang Hill. Her right knee had been grazed by the rocky floor of the trail and though it wasn't anything serious, the funeral director couldn't simply cavort through Liyue Harbor with a visible injury like this one. She had a image to keep up (even though her reputation was, shady, to say the least).
"Hello~!" Hu Tao greeted cheerily, her voice chirping as she came limping into the pharmacy (those goddamn stairs did not help her circumstances). She had half expected you to come rushing to her aid, gasping over her wound and going on to scold her for her carelessness but instead, it was Baizhu who greeted her in return. The bifocal wearing doctor was busy stocking the shelves with plenty of newly acquired goods before the snake around his neck cared for point out Hu Tao's presence to him.
