"Alright, mother! We'll be careful don't worry, a big man like me can take out any type of danger" A hothead blond shouted as he closed the front glass door then the main one right after, making sure to lock it. He then huffed and looked over at his friend.

"Let's go get something to drink before we go, don't wanna faint or something," Tommy said as his friend nodded as he started to walk away towards the sidewalk. "Wait! Wanna make those drinks where scene kids mix monster with a bunch of candy?" His friend asked with a big smile.

When he smiled, he had a chipped tooth which Tommy always manages to take a good look at. Something about it creates a character to (y/n). Even though he himself has said he hates it since he wants perfect straight teeth, Tommy is always quick to deny his statement.

"Wouldn't that simply kill me in one sip?" He asked making (y/n) snort as he remembered his old friend can't take that much sugar in one go. "That's true forgot about that". They continued on their walk with little small talk from here and there.

Their clean shoes making soft taps as not many people were out at this time of day. It was around past noon, where people were still at work or are busy making dinner. Kids still were coming from school not having time to go outside almost immediately.

Lucky for Tommy and (y/n), their school had an off day, letting them go outside more earlier than usual. They finally made it to the corner store and got inside. "Welcome!" The store clerk said as he noticed both boys walk in. (Y/n) and Tommy both waved in sync and walked towards the back of the store towards the drinks.

"I'll get my Diet Coke like usual," Tommy said as he grabbed the longer can that held more Coke while (y/n) chose a [name drink]. They headed towards the candy and chips aisle to look at what to get.

"Wanna get airheads?" (Y/n) asked as Tommy nodded quickly. They took other little things as well and headed towards the counter. They dropped everything waiting for the total to show up.

"$27.21 is your total" the clerk said as he started to bag up their goods in black bags. (Y/n) started to take out his wallet until Tommy put a handout and handed his own money instead.

"You'll pay next time don't worry," he said. (Y/n) showed his infamous smile again making Tommy freeze once more looking at how his cheeks would rise so high when he smiled.

"Here you go boys, take care now!" The brown elderly man said as he handed us our bags and smiled. We thanked him and walked out of the store and sighed. "So we're heading to the woods right?" I asked which Tommy gasped and nodded.

His eyes sparkled at the mention of the woods. He likes spending his time there since adults present to annoy him more than they already do. He would usually just mess around with sticks and mud. Mostly annoy (y/n) by throwing him bugs.

"Yes! Only reason I don't wanna go to the park it's cause we'll be stepping into dog poo" (y/n) said as he remembered cleaning his shoes off dog poop from his favorite shoes with a toothbrush. Good thing the toothbrush wasn't his.

Tommy shivered at the memory as they walked off the sidewalk and into an unknown path to the public. They made their way onto the gravel path that was now shown as the sun was shining big and bright.

Little spots of sunlight were shown on the little path which made Tommy smile a bit. They finally noticed the familiar red cloth that was tied around a tree branch. "I'm so thankful no one has yet removed this" Tommy said as he looked at the cloth.
