Chapter Fifteen

Denki awoke to someone shaking him like a rag doll. "GOOOOOD MOORNINNGG!" Denki eye's drilled holes at Kiri's cheshire grin. "What the hell Kiri? What are you doing?" Kirishima jumped off of Denki and gestured to the swimming suit he was wearing. "It's beach day idiot, get up, get dressed for today is gonna be fucking amazing." Denki scoffed, "Yeah well you didn't have to wake me up at," Denki looked at the clock. "6:00! Why did you wake me up so fricking early??" "Beecaaausssee why not." Kiri flashed a cheeky smile. "Now get your ass up and get ready." Denki begrudgingly rolled out of bed, still in his cocoon of blankets. Hitoshi smirked at how messy Denki's hair was. Denki caught his snicker and glared. "Oh shut up not every looks perfect when they get out of bed." Hitoshi raised his eyebrows playfully. "Are you saying I'm perfect?" Denki's face heated up, "W-what no, I was just saying..urgh fuck off." Denki trudged off to the bathroom, leaving the room to a snickering idiot and suspicious redhead. "Shinso...was..was that flirting?" Hitoshi looked at Kiri and snickered again. "Whaaaat? Nooo, me? I would never do such a thing." Kiri's eyes grew a bit. "Do you like, like like Kami?" Hitoshi was suddenly nervous. "No I was just teasing, aha, yaknow.." Hitoshi busied himself with stuffing a towel into his bag. Kiri gave him a doubtful look. Finally Denki came out of the bathroom in Hitoshi's long sleeved wetsuit. "Ready to go now?" Denki yawned. "Yeah but we better stop for coffee." Hitoshi looked up from his phone. "If we don't I'm going to murder everyone." Denki nodded in agreement, grabbed his beach stuff and walked out the door.

Waiting outside of UA was the rest of the bakusquad in a mini bus looking car. Sero's older brother sat in the driver's seat with Mina next to him. In the middle seats sat Bakugō, Sero and also Kiri after he put the bags in the boot. Denki and Hitoshi climbed over a pushed middle down seat to get to the back. As soon as Hanata's older brother, Akihiro, turned the car on highway to hell stared blasting through the speakers. "Ay hiro turn your music down it's too early in the morning for that shit." Akihiro grinned mischievously and turned it up louder, "My car my rules little bro. Alright people let's get this show on the road!" In the middle seat, Bakugō was on the verge of sleep because of the lack of it the night before. Kiri lent over to Bakugō, "You can use my shoulder to rest if you want Bakubro." Bakugō was too tired to make some kind of snarky comment. "Thanks Eiji." He whispered before going right to sleep on Kiri's shoulder, whose face was now dusted in a lite pink. Finally the song had finished and was replaced with the softer tunes of grouplove. "Hey, Hiro was it? Just out of curiosity what's your quirk?" The driver answered Mina without taking his eyes off the road. "I can like shoot tape from my wrists and then turn it on fire." "That's actually a good quirk, why didn't you go to UA?" Akihiro dryly laughed. "I did and was a pretty good student in the first half of my first year but then I made some bad friends and did some bad shit and got kicked out." "What kinda bad things could a 16 year old do even?" Akihiro rattled off the list while he turned into the Starbucks drive through . "Drugs, stealing etcetera etcetera. Take my advice kid, stay in school." Mina nodded and was deeply intrigued by what this guy's full story was. "So, who's getting what?" Everyone rattled off their orders and went back to their conversations. In the middle seat area, Sero was questioning kiri. "Yo dude, are you and Bakugo a thing?" "No, we're just two manly dudes chilling together." Just as he said that Bakugō wrapped his arms around Kiri's stomach and whispered, "Mine." Kiri lifted his eyes up from the blonde and locked with Sero's. Sero just rolled his eyes, "Righhtt." In the back seat Denki was lazily sprawled out on two thirds of the seat and his feet on Hitoshi's lap. Denki hummed contently while Hitoshi read a book. He could get used to how peaceful his life was.

In a dark room somewhere not so far away...

"The plans are nearly ready boss, stage 2 18 5 1 11, 15 21 20 is a go, we'll be coming to get you soon." A low malicious laugh came from the phone. "Good good, are my men out there?" "After his every move sir." "Perfect." "There's a possible opening coming up sir." "Tell me the details in person." "Will do." ...

Back at the beach

Once they had finally got there they all ran across the hot sand to find the perfect place to put all their stuff. As soon as they chucked their stuff down Mina, Akihiro and Kiri (with Bakugo getting literally dragged along) ran into the surf leaving the rest to set up. "Hey denks are you still not talking to Mina?" Denki grinned a little guiltily. "I actually kinda forgot about that." Denki's eyes flickered to Hitoshi's and then back to the ground. "I'm over it now it's all sorted out." Sero chucked his towel down to lay on. "Yeah well not on Mina's end, she still feels mega guilty." "Did she tell you what she did?" Sero shook his head. "No but it must have been something bad for you to ignore her." Denki thought about it. It really wasn't overly that bad but she still broke his trust. "Mmm, I'll go talk to her."

Denki plonked down next to the pink haired girl. "Hey Mina." Mina's eyes flicked up to Denki's and then back down at the sand "Oh hi Denki." Denki grabbed both of Mina's and his hands and held them in the space in between them. "Mina, I'm so sorry for overreacting-" "No no it was me I shouldn't have-" Denki shushed her. "I was going to say that I've been having a rough time lately and it's got my mind in a bit of a mess so I forgive you." Mina lunch from her sandy spot and wrapped up Mr electricity into a bear hug. " oh thank you thank you thank you I promise I'll never spill your secrets again." Denki chuckles lately. "So I've been dying to ask, how's it going with that certain roommate of yours?" Mina wiggled her eyebrows. "We um.. we went out to dinner." Denki covered his ears because of how loud Mina squealed. "Soo who asked out who, how was it, did you guys kiss?" Denki turned his now default colour of red. "Shh, keep it down Min." Denki stole glance back at the boys who were talking about something random. "He asked me out but his friends and also it was convenient." Mina scoffed. "Pfft yeah right, also convenient how?" Denki rubbed the back of his neck nervously, wondering if he should tell her or not "I..I've been going to ah..therapy." Mina's smile morphed into a look of worry. "Darling why?" Denki focused on his twiddling thumbs. "I..well I..I've only really been able to talk about the basics with anyone and..I-" Mina messed up Denki's hair. "It's alright, Denks, just tell me when you're ready." The yellow haired boy gave her a grateful smile. "Now let's go get Shinso and Sero and join the others in the water, whaddya say?" Denki nodded and followed Mina as she ran to the boys on the sand. "Let's go swimming! Last one in the water is a rotten egg!" They all whooped and cheered as they made a mad dash for the water, Sero being the last. As they all splashed around Hitoshi went under the water and pulled Denki off balance and he fell back into the water. as he returned to the surface he was attacked with an army of sand hitting and point-blank in the head. "Ohhoh, I'm gonna get you for that." Hitoshi sprung forward and tackled Denki into the kneehigh water. Hitoshi then proceeded to capture the smaller boy into a light chokehold. "Do you surrender?" Denki giggled, "Never!" Hitoshi then slit Denki's throat open.

The both of them laughed and then floated back on the water in the starfish position. "So things all good with Mina?" Denki smiled contently. "Yup"
