Chapter Twelve

Once they finished packing their snacks, pillows and etcetera Denki and Hitoshi walked to Mina's dorm. Standing outside they could hear the shouts of everyone arguing about something unimportant. Hitoshi turned to the yellow haired boy to make sure he wasn't nervous. Denki gave Hitoshi a big smile and opened the door to Mina's room. After taking two steps in he was tackled in a hug by Mina. "Oh Kams thank god you're here, these idiots don't have any good taste!" Bakugo growled "You can't fucking talk, pretty in pink? Worst 80s movie ever." Mina smirked, "At least it's better than the lost boys, what even is that shit?" Bakugo raised his arm, about to blast Mina "Why you little-" "Hey hey hey, chill Bakubro it's just a movie." Bakugo huffed and mumbled, "Whatever." "What is this? Do my eyes and ears deceive me? Kiri actually got Bakugo to calm down?" Sero rambled in amazement. "Shut up soy sauce before I blow your ass up so bad, they'll be piecing you back together for weeks." "Oo that doesn't sound very heroic." Mina rolled her eyes. "Oh you boys and your one liners, anyways back to the topic at hand. Shinso and Kami, what are your favorite 80s movies?" Hitoshi was taken back at what just happened so he just kinda stood there but Denki jumped at the question. "It has to be the breakfast club, it is the best frickin movie of all time." Hitoshi chuckled at the boy's enthusiasm as he began to recount the opening words. "Saturday, March 24, 1984. Shermer High School, Shermer, Illinois." Denki was surprised when Hitoshi joined in. "Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. Be we think you're crazy to make us write a 1000 word essay on who we think we are. You see us how you wanna see us-" "Alright alright we get it, you guys are in love with the breakfast club but now we gotta choose one." "The karate kid pleeasee." The group reluctantly agreed to Sero's suggestion and got all the snacks and pillows ready.

Once they were settled Mina beckoned Denki to come to her. Denki stole a glance at Hitoshi who was looking at the movie then he crawled over to her. "So spill the tea, what's the deal with you and Shinso?" Denki started blushing. "He helped me out with some stuff and became friends." Mina rolled her eyes. "Oh c'mon I want the juice. How long have you liked him, has he showed any signs that he likes you, etcetera etcetera." Denki looked over to Hitoshi to make sure he hadn't heard Mina. "Erm..I guess um I-I don't know when I started liking him, I thought he was cute from the day he walked into class and I guess I sorta liked him from there. I'm also pretty sure he doesn't like me." "Mm nope I call bullshit, have you seen the way he looks at you." Denki looked at Hitoshi through the corner of his eye seeing Hitoshi was looking at him he quickly looked back at Mina. "He only likes me as a friend." "Has done anything lately like, more attention or-" "He only likes me as a friend." 'How could Shinso ever like someone like me.' Mina sighed and took hold of Denki's hands. "Oh my child one day you will realise the truth." Mina waved her hands at Hitoshi to come over. "Sup Shinso, want some popcorn." Mina snuck Denki a mischievous grin then returned to her normal face. Denki pulled her jumper to whisper in her ear. "Don't try to force what won't happen, he only-" "Yeah yeah I heard you the first time He OnLy LiKeS mE aS a FrIeNd rigghttt, anyway i'm just asking if he wants popcorn." Mina battered her eyelashes innocently. Hitoshi sat next to Denki and grabbed some popcorn. "So Shinso what are your interests, what do you do in your free time, any favourite movies?" Denki tried to find any malicious intent in Mina's words but was unsuccessful. 'Just what is she up to?' Denki thought. "I like books and cats, I read books and drink coffee and my favourite movie is It chapter two." "Noice." Denki excused himself from their conversation and went to the bathroom.

"So Shinso, you like Kami right?" Hitoshi was surprised she figured it out but kept his calm mask on. "Where'd you hear that?" He said with little interest to throw off Mina, which it definitely did. Mina was disappointed that Hitoshi didn't give any reaction to what she said but she continued her investigation. "Well you hang around him heaps and I see the way you look at him." Mina did her eyebrows thing but was to no avail because Hitoshi still hasn't shown a reaction...on the outside. On the inside Hitoshi was in a frantic panic, 'How the fuck did she find out?' "He's just a good friend that's all, does he like me?" Now it was Mina's turn to panic. "What. No it was just your actions i guess ehehe, also i gotta find a good man for Kami." Mina's eyes widened as she realised what she just said. "Oh so he's gay?" "Shit! You can't tell anyone okay?" Hitoshi was glad they were off the original topic. "I promise, Kami is my friend too." Mina heard the sincerity in his words so her face relaxed into a smile. Just then Denki walked back in the room, "So what did i miss?" Hitoshi looked at Mina with a small smile. "Oh not much."

"Time to play truth or dare." Sero announced to the group. "But i'm going to add some spice to the usual rules, if you don't do the truth or dare you're given you have to take," Sero took 2 bottles of vodka out from behind his back, "A shot of vodka." They all cheered. Denki although feeling mildly nervous was glad to feel like he was normal again. "I also have 2 6packs of beer if anyone wants one." Sero gave Kirishima a beer. "How'd you get all this alcohol bro?" Sero gave Kirishima a mischievous smile. "I have my ways, alright let's get this game started!" Mina jumped at the chance to go first. "Hey Blatsy boy, truth or dare?" "Dare obviously, i'm gonna beat you extras so hard at this game." "Aight i dare you to shotgun a beer." Easy fucking peasy, Soy sauce chuck me a beer." Bakugo caught it, grabbed a pen and shotgunned a beer like there was no tomorrow. When he was finished he crushed the can against his head and threw it perfectly into the trash can. "Beat that losers. Kiri truth or dare?" The rest of the group's mouths fell open, when did Bakugo start calling kiri, kiri? "Dare 'course." "Shave your eyebrows off or are you too chicken?" "Fine i'll do it, someone get me some razors." The group cheered for Kiri. Hitoshi and Denki locked eyes and Denki flashed a massive smile which made the purple haired boy smile too. As Kirishima shaved off his eyebrows, the two boys just sat there smiling at each other, basking in the presence of friends and the happy atmosphere.

Time skip - game finished a while ago and everyone is a little tipsy but Sero and Bakugo were absolutely hammered from trying to outdrink each other..

"So Mina, what were you talking to Shin about before?" Mina nervously smiled and scratched the back of her neck. "Oh um n-not much." "C'mon you're Mina Ashido, the queen of gossip, what did you tell him? Nothing bad I hope." Denki hoped she didn't tell him what he thought she told him. "Don't get mad but i.." Mina took a breath in. "Ikindanearlytoldhimthatyoulikedhimbutthenicovereditupandaccidentlytoldhimyouweregay." There was silence for a few seconds. Mina looked up from the floor to see Denki's reaction. "D-denks?" "Why the fuck would you tell him I was gay? I thought we were friends." "We are-" "I trusted you." Denki turned his head to meet his eyes with Mina's. There was a mixture of hurt and anger in Denki's golden eyes. "Denks, look i'm s-" "You know the shitty thing about sorry? People say it after they fuck up something good. Fuck this party, i'm out." Denki grabbed a bottle of vodka and walked out of the dorm. Mina stood there shell shocked. She turned around and locked eyes with Hitoshi. He rushed over to her in a panic, "What happened?" " I told Denks that I told you..ya know and he got really mad at me and ran out of the room with a bottle of vodka." Hitoshi gave Mina a small reassuring smile. "I'll talk to him."

After running around the dorms for a while Hitoshi finally found Denki...passed out in a bush with nothing left in the once full bottle of vodka. Hitoshi snapped a picture to use as blackmail later, picked Denki up bridal style and walked back to their room.
