Hitoshi wanted to disappear. He had tried to ask Denki out but it was a complete and utter failure. And now they sat in the lobby waiting to be called on by the receptionist. Denki's mind was also on the fritz. Anxiety was building up about what the therapist would say and/or dig up. Both of them were deep in thought so they didn't hear the receptionist call their name until the third time. Hitoshi took a deep breath and stood up, 'Whats done is done, but what if he realises I like him..although it wouldn't be totally bad, how would he react though?' He shook his thoughts and walked into the office with Denki. "Hello boys, how are you?" "Not bad." Hitoshi nodded in agreement. "How's school been for you?" "Average." Doctor O'Riley smiled, "Good good...I noticed last session talking about your past with father was a touchy subject for you so if you don't feel comfortable answering my questions, don't. Mkay?" Denki nodded, it made him feel a little at ease to be in control. "What age were you when your mother died." "7." The doc scribbled the new information on her notepad. "How did your dad deal with your mothers death?" Denki was getting nervous as they were getting closer to the truth. "He um didn't take it well." Doctor O'Riley nodded. "Did you get any support from your dad and other family?" Denki scratched at his old scars on his arm, "My mom's side cut ties with us and I've never met anyone from my dad's side." "If I may, why is your dad in jail." Denki began scratching a little harder as he began to get more nervous. Hitoshi noticed and grabbed hold of Denki's hand. Hitoshi leaned into Denki's ear, "If you scratch them they're going to bleed again." Denki nodded. "Um h-he um..I.." Too many memories came to Denki at once, it was hard to keep up a mask. "I-i don't want to answer that." Doctor O'Riley gave Denki a kind look. "The truth will have to come out eventually, tell me when you feel you're ready...so what did you do to cope with your mother's death." Denki thought back to then, his dad began hitting him the day after she died. He only found out about self harm when he was 10, when his dad's beating got a lot worse, from a story he heard and Denki thought why not try it. Unfortunately that began an addiction. An addiction to feeling something. "I...I.." Hitoshi whispered to Denki again. "You should tell them Kami, they won't judge you, they're here to help." Denki meekly nodded. "I-I had a lot of panic attacks and when I was 10 I...I started cutting myself." Doctor O'Riley's eyes widened a bit. "Was your mom the only one who triggered your panic attacks." Denki's grip tightened on Hitoshi's hand. "No." The doc seemed to understand that pressing any further would likely lead to a panic attack of some sort, (based on their experience.)
After that other unimportant questions were asked because the doc thought they might have been piling too much on Denki. During the car ride to the therapy session, Hitoshi had told Aizawa that they were going to get dinner after. "You sure you don't want me to drive you back?" Hitoshi shook his head. "It's fine we'll get an Uber or something." Now that the session had finished Denki and Hitoshi walked to a mall across the road, looking for somewhere to eat. After a while they found a small cute family owned sushi restaurant. When they entered, an old lady came up and seated them, giving them menus. "So how are the therapy sessions feeling for you?" Denki looked up from his menu. "W-well to get better all the memories I've buried are going to have to resurface. And..it's a little scary." Denki laughed a humorless laugh. "You'll get better." Hitoshi and Denki shared a small smile. Just then the old lady came to get their orders. "Hello! Welcome to The chef express. What can I get for you?" Hitoshi spoke first. "Could I get 3 Nigiri, 2 Maki and 3 Makuzushi please?" "Oo yes nice choice and what will your boyfriend be having?" Both of the boys eyes widened and Denki blushed. "Er he isn't my boyfriend." 'I wish though, just gotta wait til Denki is ready.' Hitoshi thought. "Aw you'd make such a cute couple though, I can sense your chemistry." The old lady raised her eyebrows. "Um thank you?" Denki hid his blush behind his menu. "I'll h-have 2 Temaki and 3 Nigiri." Hitoshi looked at Denki skeptically, "Why don't you order something else as well?" Denki looked at his hands. "N-no I'm okay." "I know you've been anxious lately Kams but you need to eat." Denki looked into Hitoshi's eyes, he always knew when something was up. 'I love this boy.' Denki thought. "Fine could I just get what he's having please?" The old lady was still standing there watching their conversation. "Yep sure, any drinks?" "A black coffee for me and..." Hithso looked at Denki. "Oh um water if fine thanks." "Won't be too long." The old lady flashed a Cheshire smile and went into the kitchen.
Some remaining awkwardness lingered in the air over what the old lady said but the rest of the night went on relatively well. "Have we organised the beach day properly?" Denki nodded his head. "We're meeting up at 10:30 and Sero's older brother is going to drive us." Hitoshi wondered if Sero had gotten the alcohol from his brother. "Are we meant to bring any snacks?" "Mina and Kiri got the snacks covered unless you want something specific?" Hitoshi shook his head. "I'm good." The boys shared smiles.
Once they finished their meals they both stood up and went to the counter to pay. "Hello! How were your meals?" Denki smiled, "Good." Hitoshi nodded in agreement. Once they paid, the old lady wished them goodbye and they stepped out of the restaurant. Hitoshi looked at his watch, it said 8:30. As Hitoshi took out his phone and called an Uber, Denki couldn't shake this weird feeling. It was sort of like someone was watching him but Denki looked around and saw no one suspicious. Not feeling safe but not really letting it show, Denki grabbed ahold of Hitoshi's hand which surprised him but Hitoshi saw the look in Denki's eyes. Hitoshi leaned down to Denki's ear, "What's wrong?" Denki looked around. "I have a weird feeling." Hitoshi looked around as well. "I can't see anything but I'll keep my eye out for anything. As Hitoshi and Denki stood close together waiting for their Uber, Denki's thoughts were hyper. 'He doesn't think I like him right, friends do his right, I would pull away but I'm too scared.' Denki's hand began shaking. "It'll be fine." The reassuring voice of the purple haired boy stated. "You'll be fine." Hitoshi gave Denki a reassuring smile which he weakly returned. One last look around and Denki jumped in the car with Hitoshi.
Lurking in the shadows stood a tall being. He watched as the boys stepped into the car. He walked up to a car with someone sitting in it and ripped them out of their seat and followed the Uber. He laughed with such malice that the car windows shook. "I found you."
