A few hours later...
Maire's father Diego and her older brother Gael had returned from work (in their separate jobs). When seeing that there were many cars, news vans, and police cars, in their street, they knew that something was up. When both Diego and Gael got through the traffic and into the house they then found Aurora talking on the phone.
"What's going on?" said Diego, as he looks at his wife.
"Yeah, what is going on here?" said Gael, as he looks at his mother. "Did something happen on this street? What was it? Who was it?"
"And where's Maire?" said Diego, as he looks at Aurora.
"I'm on the phone." said Aurora, as she looks at them both.
"Really." said Gael
After Aurora was done talking on the phone, she then looked at both of them.
"Guys, guess what!" said Aurora, cheerfully.
"What?" said Gael
"Maire, won the cereal ticket that was in the Tiger Flakes Cereal box!" said Aurora, as she stood up in her seat and showed both of them the cereal box and the ticket.
"WHAT?!" yelled both Diego and Gael.
"Yeah, I know right!" said Aurora, cheerfully. "And she gets to play with the United States Women's National soccer Team, travel with them, and practice with them for the whole season!"
"Woah, no way." said Gael, as he looks at the cereal box and at Aurora. "If it's a soccer sport, Maire would never join it, even if it's soccer."
"Now, don't say that." said Aurora, as she looks at Gael. "You don't know your sister like I do, and she will do it."
"Right." said Geal, as he looks at Aurora. "Knowing her she wouldn't."
"This is a very important thing for her, we have to be positive." said Aurora
"Not positive enough." said Maire, as she walked out of her room and walked towards.
"Maire, congratulations!" said Diego, as he hugs his daughter.
"I was just telling your father, and your brother about what happened today." said Aurora, as smiles.
"I can see that." said Maire, as her father stopped hugging her.
"Ha, ha. You're not going to do it are you!" said Gael, as he starts to annoy Maire. "Not after The Great Family Reunion! Ha ha! And your bench warming basketball high school years! Ha ha ha."
Gael starts to laugh even harder, and points at Maire. Maire then blushes and starts to get angry. Maire also makes a fist with her right hand, Diego seeing Maire's reaction, he then turns to Gael, knowing that Maire would hit him if he wouldn't stop.
"Gael, ¡ deja de molestar a tu hermana!" said Diego, in spanish and later looks at Maire. "Don't pay attention to your brother."
"Ustedes lo ven..." said Maire, in spanish. "This is why I don't want to join the offer. If I join, everyone will see me on television and will make fun of me!"
"You did say that you wanted to be known for something, and be a comedian." said Gael, as he laughed.
"Yeah, but not like this." said Maire, as she looked at her brother, mother, and father.
Maire then leaves back to her room.
"Such a drama queen." said Gael, as he jokes around.
Gael, Aurora, and Diego looked at Maire walking back to her room.
Diego then nudges at Gael's left arm.
"Ow." said Gael, as he looks at his father. "What, I was just joking."
"That wasn't funny Gael." said Diego, as he looked at his son.
"I'm going to talk to her." said Aurora, as she looked at Diego and Gael. "Maybe, she will change her mind."
"Yeah, right." said Gael, as he looks back at his mother. "Psh, good luck with that."
Diego then nudges at Gael's left arm again, as Aurora walks towards Maire's room and opens the door. Maire is sitting in her desk chair, and looks at her mother as enters her room.
"He's right." said Maire
"No, he's not." said Aurora, as she walks towards Maire and stands next to her.
"It looks like he is." said Maire
"Listen, you made a hard decision." said Aurora, as she sat next to Maire. "On whether to keep on playing or stop and decide to achieve on graduating, instead of losing a game of basketball. You did what you had to do, and I am happy for you. This whole thing on what you're going through is going to be a challenge, anywhere you go and anything that you do."
"You know, before going to the living room..." said Maire, as she looks at her mother. "I decided to tell you that I am planning on joining the USWNT. However, there's just a small teeny weeny little problem."
"Really." said Aurora, as she smiles. "And yes, what is it?"
"I don't know any soccer tricks." said Maire
"Don't worry, you'll know from your teammates." said Aurora, as she looks at Maire.
Maire then sighs.
"It's going to be okay, and don't worry me, your father, and your brother are going to support you." said Aurora, as she hugs her daughter.
After her mother stops hugging her, Maire then gets the soccer associate's business card and calls him.
"Hello, U.S Soccer Associate." said Maire
"Yes?" said the Soccer Associate, on the speaker.
"It's Maire." said Maire, as she talks through the phone. "I'm in."
"That's Perfect!" said Soccer Associate, on the speaker.
The Soccer Associate then gives Maire a long list of things that she needs to take with her.
