Chapter 34

Early in the morning, Maire was in her practice uniform ready for practice, while still wearing the arm sling and the shoulder brace. As she opened the door, Kelley was in the doorway.

"Where do you think you're going?" said Kelley, as she asked Maire.

"Practice." said Maire

"Oh no, you're not." said Kelley, as she looked at Maire. "Coach Jill told me to look after you. And gave me strict orders to forbid you to go."

"Kelley, it's just my shoulder, not my leg." said Maire

"Yeah, but you're still injured." said Kelley

"You're right. I won't be able to attend practice because I'm injured." said Maire, as Kelley left a little space for her to escape. "But, that still doesn't stop me from heading to practice, or at least watch the other girls practice."

"Maire, Coach Jill wants you off the field." said Kelley

"Yeah, but I could just stay on the sideline." said Maire

"She said not even the sideline." said Kelley

"Oh come on Kelley, what am I going to do, Here? I'm going to be bored." said Maire, as she turns at the door and sees the rest of the girls walking to practice. 

"I'm sorry Maire, but that's the way it has to be." said Kelley, as she turns away from Maire.

Kelley then sighs, and later turns around.

"Maire?" said Kelley, as she saw that Maire was not in the room.

Just then Kelley then hears laughter around the corner, as she exits Maire's room. She then sees Maire on the floor, while Sam and Rose were standing next to her as they were chuckling.

"You thought you could get away." said Sam, as she crossed her arms while Rose helped Maire up. "Didn't you Maire."

"What happened?" said Kelley, as she looks at both Sam and Rose.

"She bumped into us." said Rose, as she and Sam looked at Kelley.

"Ha ha." said Kelley, as she chuckled.

"Don't tell me let me guess." said Maire, as she looks at Kelley, Sam, and Rose. "Coach Jill, also told you girls to also watch over me."

"Actually we volunteered." said Rose

"Yeah, to babysit you." said Sam, as she smiled and joked around.

"Oh heck no. Nuh uh. I don't need any babysitters." said Maire, as she takes a step away from Kelley, Sam, and Rose. "I thought we were teammates."

"And I thought we were friends, but I guess I was wrong." said Kelley, as she started to joke around.

"Don't worry, we are only going to look out for you during the day." said Rose

"Yeah, so that you won't attend practice." said Sam

"It's just for today." said Rose

"Okay. Fine." said Maire, as she looks at Kelley, Sam, and Rose. "So, what do you girls want to do?"

"Well, right now let's hang out in the lounge room." said Kelley

"Good idea, let's go." said Sam

Maire then goes gets her backpack, and closes the door behind her. Kelley, Sam, and Rose along with Maire went to the lounge room and stood there for more than a minute. After the lounge room, the girls then went to hang out in the lobby, while the other girls were still at practice. Both Kelley and Sam were playing chess, while Rose was recording them, and Maire was watching them play.
