Ok, guys I know the last chapter was boring. Bear with me. It gets better.
Katsuki POV:
Having Kirishima bear-hug me while we hurtled through the air like a UFO definitely made everything better. We were a floating knot of high-school students. Pikachu was grappling to Round Face and Glasses. Glasses was carrying Insomnia, whose scarves were securing me to himself and round face. And, as I said, Kirishima was facing me and basically sitting on my lap, his arms wrapped around my neck while I used my Fuirk (fake quirk) to propel us through the air. Why could Round Face only float me, herself, and Glasses? Because her new Fuirk is weak.
"UA!" Pikachu shouted, "It's-it's gone!"
"I can't see, sparkles!" I snapped. I was facing backward, after all.
"He's right!" Kirishima said, looking over my shoulder, "UA's... gone. It's just a huge pile of rubble. There's a lot of smoke though!"
"That must be the villain Dabi's quirk!" Iida noted. "Fire!"
"Can you guess shut up?" Round Face strained, "I'm trying to focus on not letting us fall!"
"Sorry, Uraraka," Pikachu apologized.
When we (crash) landed where UA's street was, I saw teachers simply ushering students away. Everyone was just trying to get to safety. When Present Mic ran out carrying the still-poisoned-into-a-coma Narcolepsy, I ran up to him.
"Where's Deku? The villain? The real one?" I asked, grabbing his arm.
"Uh... you shouldn't go in there. It's dangerous. Principal Nezu decided the best course of action was to escape," He told me.
"I don't give a shit what the rat thinks is the best course of action!" I defiantly shouted, "Now where's Deku?!"
"Look, Sho-Sho here," He gestured toward Narcolepsy, "He wouldn't want me to let one of his students run to his death, so for him, I'm going to insist that you don't! Don't even try to go in there, alright? There are villains everywhere!"
"I don't give a fuck! How can you call yourselves pro-heroes when you let villains run amok in your school?!" Without waiting for his answer, I ran through the crowd toward the fallen building.
It was like swimming upstream, what with all the heroes and students evacuating, the occasional villain being scary, and all the rain and smoke fogging my brain. I pushed through crowds and crowds of people, trying to get to Deku. To Izuku. I was going to get to him before the villain traitors did so that they wouldn't kill him. When I managed to push through the entire crowd, I was standing at the broken gate of UA academy. The lightning danced across the sky, followed soon after by roars of thunder. I saw the wreckage of the school ominously staring me down and stopped to catch my breath.
"Bakugo!" Kirishima called, "Hey! Bakugo!"
I turned to see him waving his arm as he squeezed through the crowd. I ran back to him and he ran up to me. The momentum of both of us running toward each other made us crash into each other.
I grabbed his shoulders and asked, "What are you doing?"
"What are you doing?!" He asked, "Come on, you're either going to die from a villain, from a lightning strike, or you'll drown in the rain! We found some of our classmates, so we're all going to one of the safety shelters. Come with us." He begged. "Don't be insane!"
"I'm not insane, Kirishima!" I shouted over the rain, "I have to find Izuku! I have to fix a lot of things!"
"What are you talking about?" He groaned, "Just come with us! They're leaving!" He pointed back to the crowd that was getting farther and farther away.
"I made mistakes in the past! A lot of them! All of this-" I panned to the school, to the crowd, and to basically everything, "-this is all because of me!"
"Stop being so weirdly selfish!" He pulled on my wrist, "This was the League's fault!"
"I'm the reason Deku's a villain!" I shouted, "It's my fault! It's all my fault! Because of me, UA is just rubble! Because of me, Todoroki is dead! Because of me, the entire society is turning upside down!"
"Bakugo, you can be moral later!" He slapped his hands on my face, "But I'm scared! I'm scared for you, for me, for the entire world! Please stop making me worry about you, you idiot!" He screamed at me, his voice cracking and teary.
I... didn't realize I was making Kirishima worry so much. I threw my arms around him and hugged him so tight that the world felt like it stopped around us. The raindrops seemed to freeze where they were, the thunder trailed into silence, and the lightning blurred. All there was was me and Kirishima. I couldn't let him go as tears trickled out of my eyes. Holding him this close tricked me into thinking I would lose him if I let go.
"I'm sorry..." I cried into his wet hair, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm going to fight Izuku if it's the last thing I do!" I leaned back just slightly, but stayed glued to Kirishima, "So Kirishima, if this is the last time I see you, please let me tell you something."
"Do you love me?!" He shouted over the thunder. I was taken aback. "Do you?? Is that what you're going to say??"
Flustered, I shouted, "Well, yeah!"
"I love you too!" He smiled at me with those beautiful fucking teeth, "If we live past all this, will you be my boyfriend?"
"Absolutely!" I nodded quickly, "Absolutely! Yes!"
"Can I kiss you?!"
"Ye-" I tried to say yes, but he slammed his face into mine and kissed me. He kissed me and kissed me and kissed me. His tongue tickled the top of my mouth and then he bit down gently on mine. He turned his head so as to kiss me better, his lips salty with rainwater. I fell into the kiss and soon lost myself in it, surrendering myself wholly to the one I loved. When we pulled away from each other slowly, I opened my eyes, as I had been closing them. I opened my eyes and looked right into his. The warmth of his breath was welcome and it steamed my face, mixing with mine. His arms were tight around me and mine around him, and we were locked in a tight embrace. He was taller than I'd thought. I leaned into him and kissed the rainwater off of his cheek. "Kirishima.."
"Call me Eijiro," He insisted.
"Eijiro. I hope that... I'll see you again," I was already crying, but when I thought about never getting to kiss Kiri- Eijiro again, I felt like I was about to cry.
"How sweet," said the familiar voice that I dreaded.
"Izuku!" I turned around and gaped, looking up at the villain standing on top of the rubble.
He looked like an angel of death as he stood above it all and looked down, blood dripping off of his knife. He was dressed in a vest and tie, with dress pants and shiny shoes. His shirt was stained with blood and the sleeves were shredded at the edges. He had a black cape that whipped in the wind and a hood that he took down to reveal his wild, green hair. The lightning flashed through his emerald eyes, which glared down at me and Eijiro. I held Eijiro closely and blinked my tears out of my eyes, mixing them with the rain.
"Hello..." Izuku said, "Katsuki. Are you ready to finish this? Once and for all?"
I glanced over at Kirishima and sent a million thoughts to him at once. All my love. Then I turned back to Izuku and shouted, "Once and for all, Izuku! Let's finish this!"
