Part One
Y/n's Pov
I stood on my tippy toes, attempting to reach one of the ingredients in my shop. The stool I was standing on to give me some height began to wiggle as I stretch across the shelves. "W-Woah!" I yelped as the stool fell to the side. I forced my hands out in front of my face to brace for the fall before arms cradled my body, catching me. I flipped my head around to see Muriel holding me. A wide smile spread across my face. " Hello, Y/n!" Asra said as he took off his hat. Muriel placed me on the ground. "Are you okay?" he asked in his low gruff voice. "Thanks to you, yes. It's wonderful to see you both." I said, "How was your trip?". Muriel grabbed the ingredient from the shelf and handed it to me. I gave Muriel a bright smile which made him look away."It was a trip." Muriel said with a shrug before moving towards the plants I kept in my window. "In other words, it was quite pleasant. I wish you could have seen it." Asra enlighten. "Perhaps next time you could take me with you." I said with a wishful plead in my eyes. "Yes, perhaps next time." Asra said with a gentle smile. Placing the ingredients in a small bag with a few others, I tied off the strings and went to the door to grab my traveling cloak. "Nadia invited me to have tea with them a bit later in the day. Would you like to join?" I asked, wrapping the cloak around my shoulders. Asra smiled and nodded. "I think that would be lovely. As long as I have time to bathe." he answered, "Muriel, will you be joining us?". "I have to check on my chickens." Muriel replied. "Please," I walked over to him, giving him puppy dog eyes, "It would make my day.". A slight blush dusted his cheeks. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt." He agreed, closing his eyes with slight displeasure. "Thank you!" I said, hugging him. He simply grunted in response but wrapped his arm around me in return. I soon let go and walked over to the door. " I've got to deliver these to Mazelinka. I'll be back." I said, opening the door, "And when it is time to go, Asra and I will come and get you Muriel. Alright?". Both nodded as I slipped from the door and began making my way down to Mazelinka's home. When I arrived at her home, I could hear Mazelinka swearing someone out. "Ilya, I swear, you and that window! Next time if you don't use the door-" She began. I knocked on the door as I heardfootsteps nearing. "What do you-" the glare in her eyes softened when she recognized me, "Oh, Y/n! Please come in. Do you have the herbs I asked for?". I nodded with a smile and gave her the small bag of ingredients I had brought her. She stepped out of the doorway as I stepped in. "Hello, Y/n." Julian purred, running a hand through his hair and strolling over. "Window again?" I asked, a small smirk tugging on my lips. His face dropped the flirtasious expression as I put my hands on my hip and raised an eyebrow. Mazelinka chuckled softly and dropped a few coins in my hand. "Thank you." I said, putting the coins in my pocket. "Did Nadia invite you to tea?" Julian asked, looking at the wooden spoon she still had in her hands. "Indeed she did. Will you also be attending?" I asked. "Yes, and if I'm not mistaken," Julian began as Mazelinka scoffed with a small remark of "It wouldn't be the first time.", "I would say it's about time to go. Shall we, my dear?" . Julian offered me his arm which I looped with my own. "Ilya, you best behave." Mazelinka said, waving the spoon warningly. He waved as we stepped out of the door and continued back to my shop. "After we retrieve Asra, we must make our way down to meet with Muriel." I explained. "He's a chipper fellow, isn't he?" Julian asked, hitting my hip gently with his. " When you don't annoy him, yes." I said with a grin to which he simply sighed. "You wound me." he jokes, draping his hand over his forehead. I laughed as we arrived. I opened the door to my shop, Asra was waiting for me with a cup of tea in his hand. "Y/n! And Ilya... is it time to go?" he questioned, setting the cup down. "Yes, it is!" I answered and offered him my other arm. "Faust, will you accompany us?" Asra asked to a seemlying empty shop, linking his arm with mine. A moment later, something twirls around our arms. I looked over at the small lavender corn snake. I smiled at her and flipped around as we all wandered out of the door. " Do you think we'll have to convince him to come?" I questioned as we got closer to Muriel's hut. " I don't think so." Asra answered, " He already agreed.". I nodded my head in agreement as he moved ahead to knock on the door. Muriel opened the door and walked out. "Ready?" I asked, a smile on my lips. He simply nodded and looked at his chickens. "Behave." he said, pointing to one of them.
Small timeskip brought to you by Julian getting whacked over the head with Mazlinka's wooden spoon
Walking over the bridge, the gate opened as we approached the golden doorway surrounded by walls. We made our way up to the balcony which was soaking in the sun. Nadia was delicately placed in a seat, already with a cup of tea, pinching the bridge of her nose as Lucio lectured her on redecorating the palace. When she noticed us, she dropped her hands and stood up with a smile. " My dear friends, how wonderful to see you." she greeted us, interrupting Lucio, who simply frowned. She gestured us to sit down. We all took a seat as she rang a fragile bell which resembled a swan. "Portia, would you like to join us?" Naida asked as the girl entered through the door with a tray of a tea pot and an assembly of cups. "I would love to, M'lady." she thanked her, "The treats are on the way. They took a bit longer than expected.". Nadia gave her a soft smile. "Thank you." Nadia said as Portia sat down.
