Y/n's pov

Valdemar leaves the room, swiftly. I raise my eyebrows at the sudden action. Both of the men in the room look at me. "Either way, what are we going to do?" Lucio asks, arms crossed sitting in his seat. I get up and dust myself off. "Well, I'm going to go check on him." I say. Both of the men just laugh. I twist around to face them. " What?" I ask. " N-nothing." I hear Lucio say. "No! What are you laughing about?" I say, crossing my arms. " He'd kill us and I want to stay in this world for at least a while longer. " Valerius dodges the question yet again. I glare at both of them. " Whatever. You both are useless." I walk out of the room. I follow the sound of footsteps clicking down the hall. I pick up the pace and turn a corner as I see Valdemar looking at the library. I knew his office was around there, but I never knew where. I move my body out of his range of sight as I hear the library open. The long roots slowly untangle. I see the tall figure walk into the room. I quickly follow before the long roots entwine themselves together again.  I feel myself suddenly pinned up against the wall.  I gasp out of fear as I see Valdemar towering over me. " A-are you ok?" I ask. He raises an eyebrow, still smiling. " Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" He gazes into my eyes. " You just left so abruptly. I was worried" I said. His grip wasn't moving from my arms. " Oh, I just realized that I had some work to do. And it was a bit boring" Valdemar answers. I look back at him. " Good. I just wanted to check on you." You sigh out of relief. " Why were you worried?" He asks. I blush, my face burning. " You mean a lot to me...." I say, under my breath. He gapes at me, a tint of red dusting his cheek. My cheeks burn even more. I didn't expect him to hear me. " S-sorry." I say quickly, trying to hide my face. He uses a gentle touch of his fingertips as he guides my face back to his. " It's fine. If anything I'm happy for you to say that." He looks back at me.  "V-val?" I ask, in a barely above silence tone. He shushes me by pushing his lips against me. I blush and quickly melt into the kiss.
