 A/n:  I've been working on the new one shot that I've been wanting to write. it's going to be a LONG one shot from what I can already see. I can't wait to see if you guys like it. I may actually just make it into a whole new fan fiction as is. If you guys could tell me if you would prefer it just as a different book or as a series of one shots, I would adore you! Y/n's pov

Selasi sighs. " Thank you. Now, you have to be oh so careful when talking to him. He thinks highly of himself from what I can tell. You might want to change your clothing as well.", I look at him, obviously confused. " The count doesn't like when woman wear layers. He'll just rip them off of you." I begin to laugh at this but stop because of the expression on his face. " I have some pajamas, I guess." I say. He cocks his head to the side to signal for me to show him. I pull out a tight F/c top and some flowing pants. He nods and shows me to a small room to change in. I quickly rush out as I finish changing.  " Oh! And I have something for you. " Selasi goes behind a curtain and comes back holding a small loaf of bread. " Your favorite." he says, handing me the bread I just gape at. " Thank you!" I say. He smiles as he opens the door for me. " Good luck." the worry in his voice and expression frighting me a bit. I smile and turn to the path towards the palace. I quickly rush, but as I get closer to the palace homes get cleaner and in better shape. I slow as I look around at them. Suddenly, I freeze with fear as I hear a voice that sends shivers down my spine. " Peculiar. I haven't seen you in ages. Why have you come back?" I hear Valdemar say. I turn quickly to face him. " Hello. I was just on my way to see the count." I say, trying my hardest to sound confident. " Fantastic, I can walk you up." He says. I smile, nervously.  He leads me up the path to palace as my anxiety begins to rise.

The large maple doors open as my heart leaps into my chest. I gasp at the darkness of the room. "Everything used to be so bright..." I mumble under my breath, my hands covering my mouth. " Ah yes, but that's before Lucio had changed." Valdemar startles me. " H-how do you mean?" I manage out in a squeak. Valdemar smiles, " He changed for the better. He wanted more power, so he got himself more power." . I tilt my head to the side. " You'll see." He answers. I glare at him.  I gasp as I feel hands twist around my waist. I turn around, quickly, to see who was touching me. I turn to see a handsome man. Pale, blonde hair slicked back, and his eyes, blood red with a silvery blue pupil. "Hello, beautiful." The man says. "H-hello... And you are?" I ask. "Lucio. Count Lucio. And your name? ". My face contorts into a nasty glare. " You're the one who's ruining Vesuvia? I can't believe you would let this happen!" I shout, getting out of his arms . He looks at me, anger, insult, and confusion swirling through his eyes. " Excuse me? I don't even know you and you decide to yell at me? Do you have any idea the power I hold? Any idea what I could do to you? " He snarls back, bearing his teeth. I stop as I look at them. Fangs. " What are you?" I ask. He looks taken back. "Y-you don't know?" He asks. I shake my head. He bears his teeth again. "I'm a vampire. How didn't you know? Everyone here knows something's off with me. " He says. " I just got here. Vesuvia used to be my home until I decided to travel a bit. When I left, it was five years ago, when Nadia was around. I know barely anything of what is happening here. " I explain. He studies me for what seems like forever." You... Confuse me, Y/n." He says. "I-i didn't tell you my name....." I stutter out. "I know a lot about you. " He says, walking out and showing me to follow him.
