How is there more than one Akazano..? Everyone told me they were extinct, and that Adonis was the only one remaining.

"Uncle what is going on?"

He sighed and looked at my father, who was just snoring away, choosing to remain silent.

"Please tell me. I am old enough to know."

He turned to look at me, "It's not about age, Lessi. It's about whether your heart is in the right place."

"It is. All I want is the best for everyo-"

"That is exactly the problem. You can't help everyone."

"No..." I admitted, "but I can stop whatever the matter is from going any further. Just let me in."

He let out another heavy sigh, "Very well. Sit."

I pulled out one of the crowned chairs and sat.

He remained standing, "Your parents made a poor decision in their youth. One that divided the once united kingdoms into four districts."

My eyes widened. Is that what my mother meant by doing something dumb and having to suffer the consequences?

"One of those districts, of course, got pissed off and made some drastic measures."

"The one that prince Aaron resides in?"

He nodded and moved to sit on the edge of the table near me, "His brother, Izekial, was jealous of Adon's win in your mother's hand in marriage."

"As were you," I smirked.

"Shut up," he hissed.

I pursed my lips, holding in a laugh, and quickly dropped my smile when I saw him glare. "S-sorry."

He shook his head before continuing, "Their father, Zylon, had threatened to send a witch, whom's power is only granted to that of an Akazano, to curse the entire bloodline of the woman who dared to not grant Izekial's wish. In turn of your mother's decline, anyone related to her will fall to something. The men will soon fall blind after being gifted visions of the future, and the women fall to the wishes they bring upon a star."

"That's dumb uncle. Why w-"

"It is war, niece."

I rolled my eyes. Here he goes again, I thought.

"You will learn," he said, "some beings do not need a justifiable reason to fight, they will do so simply out of greed."

My heart dropped at that statement.
Why were people like him in this world..?

All this over my mother not wanting to be with someone she didn't love?

Fate...

It was like I was living her story all over again, and I was about to make the same decision she did.

Was I just supposed to succumb to it?

My uncle listened to my silence, "Question, niece?"

I shook my head and slowly stood up, "I think I should get to bed."

Adonis was probably scared out of his mind.

My uncle stood, "No kiss goodnight?"

"Think you're forgetting you have your little cum bunny waiting for you."

He looked confused at first then nodded, "Oh...yes. Sweet Gloria..."

I shook my head and placed a kiss to the side of his lips, "Goodnight nasty ass."
