Staying the night | 23

We finished watching the movie, and I got up to pick out some pyjamas to wear.

I turn around and ask Newt, "Are you staying the night?".

"I mean, I can, I just have to call my mom," he says, taking out his phone.

"Okay, I'll just tell my mom," I say, walking to the bathroom with my clothes in hand.

I get changed into my green-coloured silk pyjama top with matching bottoms. I put my hair into a messy bun and walked to my staircase. I walk down the stairs and tell my mom that Newt's staying the night. She gives me the okay, and I walk back to my bedroom and see Newt on the phone with his mom. I walk over to him and give him a small pat on the back. Newt says goodbye to his mom and hangs up the phone. I walk over to my desk and pull out my skincare.

"I'm going to go wash my face and brush my teeth. We have extra toothbrushes if you need one." I say as I walk towards the door.

"My mom is on her way to drop off some clothes and my toothbrush," Newt says, walking into the bathroom with me.

"Okay, I'm just going to do my skincare."

"Okay," Newt says as he starts to look around my bathroom.

As I start to wash my face, Newt comes up from behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. I giggle a little and continue to wash my face. I start to put my face mask on, and Newt asks if I can put it on him too.

"Aww, you are too cute," I say as I start to put the grey charcoal mask on his face.

"I know," he says with a cheeky smile.

I finish putting the face mask on us, and we hear the doorbell ring. Newt and I race down the stairs to open the door. I open the door with a smile and see Newt's mom holding a duffle bag and Lizzy.

"Hi, Mrs. Sangster and how are you, Lizzy?" I say, bending down to be eye-to-eye with Lizzy.

"I got a new doll, she has blue hair, and mommy, daddy, and I went out to dinner," Lizzy says, her blonde curls bouncing as she jumps with excitement.

"Wow, that's great," I say, giving her a small smile. I stand up to look at Newt's mom.

"Well, you two have fun, but not too much fun." Newt's mom says as she raises her eyebrows and giggles.

"MOM!" Newts says as he makes a face of shock.

"I'm leaving, I'm leaving," she says, putting her arms up in defence.

"Bye, Mrs. Sangster, bye, Lizzy," I say, waving goodbye.

"Bye, Mom, Bye, Liz. I'll see you tomorrow."

I close the door, and we head back upstairs. We get to my room, and I lay on the bed as Newt looks through the bag to find his pyjamas. Once he finds them, he walks to the bathroom to get changed. Newt is only gone for a few minutes before he comes back to my room. I look him up and down before I realize that he's only wearing grey sweatpants. I've never noticed how toned he was until now. Newt comes and lays down beside me on the bed as I move closer to him. His bare arms wrap around me as I lay my head on my cold pillow. We lay there in a comfortable silence until I spoke up.

"Are you going to the airport with the guys tomorrow to say goodbye to Allie?"

"I was planning on it, but if you don't want me to I won't go." He says.

"It's okay, I don't want you to miss saying goodbye."

"Even if she's a backstabbing, lying little bitch." I say under my breath.

"I heard that," Newts says as he squeezes my waist a little and kisses my cheek.

"Well, she is."

"I can just stay with you, I'll just text her goodbye."

"No, you should go. Just because I'm mad at her doesn't mean you have to be." I say, still hoping that he won't go.

"No, I'm staying, and that's final," he says, flipping me to face him.

"I don't deserve you," I say, giving him a small peck on the lips.

"I'm still not tired," I say.

"We can watch another movie or something else if you want," he says with a smile.

"Can we make a cake?" I ask with a huge smile on my face.

"Sure, you know you are such a child," he says, laughing.

"Oh, shut up. Let's go." I say, lightly shoving him and jumping out of the bed.

"Okay, I'm coming."
