Half-an-hour scurried away as Marco discovered the beauty of a magical library. In addition to the normal books, this place was packed to the brim with truly marvellous things. There was a book with moving pictures. It told a tale from a far off land in a language that the boy could not understand. Another tome was so packed with magic that once opened it released thousands of small dancing figures made of light that spun around the reader.
There were many marvellous books like that. But the one that cot Marco's attention the most, looked especially badass. Its cover adorned in vibrant dragon scales. The pages were thick, old and singed. And the title branded into the front cover with big sharp letters declared the books name: 'Dragon cycle, training manual Volume 3'. Marco looked at the cover with amazement. "Dragon cycle," the boy muttered his eyes filling with excitement. The pages flew by as Marco read the manual absorbed by the strange words on the singed paper. And then he stopped, brow furrowed as he took a double-take on one line. 'Let us practise what we remembered. The training cycle will be deployed soon.'
The book stretched and jittered in Marco's hands. Freaked out the boy dropped the book in the narrow walkway and stepped away, ramming his back into a book shelve. In an instance, the book expanded knocking off Marco and the bookshelf. This started a domino chain of bookshelves getting toppled and books flying everywhere. The magical books cracked open, released a cacophony of sounds and spectral creatures.
In the spot where the Dragon cycle manual lied now stood a motorcycle sized dragon. The creature had shiny green scales and big angry dark eyes. They were holding a set of wheels with their hind and front legs. Thin red flames spewed out of the creature's nose as it glared at Marco. "Hey there cool guy," Marco muttered, slowly standing up. "You're the training dragon aren't you?" Another spurt of fire from the dragon's nose. The wheels raved up with a loud noise. Marco with a high pitch almost girly scream started running as the dragon cycle chased after him.
Star lifted her eyes from the book. The two girls were almost finished going through the trolley. Star jumped out of her seat as she saw Marco chased by the dragon cycle. "Oh the stump, Marco!" The blond looked around the table panicking.
Pony head was in the middle of floating a book towards herself when a high-pitched scream startled her. Marco was on the top of the shelf. The boy was staring at the cycle like a cat chased by a dog, except this dog sometimes spit fire out of there nostrils. Pony head giggled floating the book to herself and opening it. She glanced at the book, thinking about taking a break to look at the unfolding chaos. A smile curled up on Pony Heads lips. "Star, go help the earthling, I think I found the book I need." Pony head proclaimed.
Star nodded and dashed towards Marco. Then ran back to grab her wand and hurried back to the boy on the shelf. Pony head smirked. Marco was releasing a cacophony of high pitched sounds. While the dragon silently spit fire on to the bookshelf the brunet was sitting on. Luckily for him, the bookshelves and the books had an anti-destruction spell put on them. So no valuable knowledge was lots thanks to this catastrophe.
This was the best entertainment Pony Head had in months. However, something grabbed her attention.
A group of three were toking to one of the golems. All three looked very similar. Dark beige, almost military-like uniforms stretched upon broad shoulders. Simplistic masks with only two glowing lights for eyes.
Panic ran over Pony Heads face as she hastily grabbed Star's purse and shoved the book into it. Pony Head jetted to word Star, who was in the middle of petting the dragon cycle into submission. As Pony Head rushed towards her friend Pony's horn sparked to life with magic. In a moment the dragon cycle turned back into a book.
"Hey, I had it under control," Star muttered disappointed.
"Well, I'm tired of this place. I found the book I needed so let's go."
"Yes, let's get out of here. I don't want to clean all this?" Marco declared jumping off the only standing bookshelf in close proximity.
"Don't worry the library will put itself back together," Star explained pointing at one of the book shells. The shelf stud itself upright and all the books one by one flew back to their designated places.
"Ooh," Marco proclaimed in amazement.
Pony head glared back the broad-shouldered people were heading to words them. "Come on, let's get going!" she encouraged the two irritated.
"Where are we going next?" Marco asked.
"Oh don't worry you will love it in there," Pony Head chuckled.
A pair of scissors flashed into existence next to Pony Head and slashed the air in front of her. A pink portal opened up, cat-shaped embers streaming out of it.
