Jackie and Marco ran through the corridors of the school. The girl's steps slowing down as exhaustion overwhelmed her.

Marco grabbed Jackie's hand. "Don't get lost," the boy said in a comforting voice.

Jackie stared at Marco holding on to her hand. The girls hard beating just a bit quicker. "I'll try, but I'm not sure how much longer I can go."

"It's ok, let's try looking for a place to..." Marco stopped, gesturing to be quiet.

Jackie squeezed Marco's hand and held her breath, listening intensely.

A quiet beating of the wings was creeping closer to the two kids.

Marco turned around. Quickly and quietly, he moved back and down a different corridor.

The butterfly did not follow them, the sound of her wings becoming distant.

Marco ducked between two lockers and let go of Jackie's hand.

"Let's take a break here," The brunet suggested.

Jackie nodded her hands on her knees. Stopping made her realise how tired she was. Even breathing became difficult.

But before Jackie could recover, the fluttering came back. It sounded distant and slow, but it was approaching.

Panic washed over Jackie as horrible thoughts filled her mind. Her breathing intensified, becoming into short, loud gasps.

With care, Marco grabbed Jackie's hands and squeezed them comfortingly. "It's ok, It's ok. She's just going to fly past us and we'll be ok. Just don't panic."

Jackie's breathing slowed down, and she nodded grasping Marco's hands. It was comforting to have Marco around for her, he was like a small reassurance that everything will be ok. After all, he was much braver than her.

The kids stood like that, holding onto each other, as quite fluttering of the wings crept closer and closer.

The wings rushed past the two as a screech of a female student filled the corridor. The two squeezed closer, glancing at each other as the screams intensified, accompanied by what sounded like the sound of someone being rapped up.

Jackie's mind raced as she imagined the horrible stuff her friend's cursed form was doing. Jackie glanced at Marco, he looked as scared as her, but at the same time focused.

The smiling purple face popped from a corner. Marco's scream drenched the area as the creature outstretched her hands, her smile widening. On instinct, Jackie dragged Marco from the alcove. She was quick enough to miss the mount of sticky moss.

Holding onto Marco, Jackie ran. Her legs screaming how she still needed a break. Yet Jackie ran, she ran blindly just to get away from the creature. But losing her seemed impossible, she only got closer.

Jackie didn't dare to look back, but she could swear she felt the warmth of the six hands almost grasping onto her.

The fluttering stopped, followed by something heavy hitting the ground. Jackie glanced back, sliding to a stop. The butterfly was trapped in a heavy volleyball net. Behind her stood Janna.

"Follow me," The black-haired girl screamed at Jackie and Marco. Janna rushed around the struggling purple creature and made her way down the hall. Jackie followed, Marco wasn't far behind.

Janna ran with purpose. She made a sharp corner to the left and down the stairs. As Jackie ran into the staircase, she heard the sound of a net ripping and angry beating of the wings.

Janna made her way to the first floor and ran to the right. She rushed to a door, checking if it was open. Figuring what Janna had in mind, Jackie ran further on and checked the next door, so did Marco. It took a few tries to find a door that was unlocked, but Jackie managed. "It's unlocked," The girl screamed. The kids ran in. Jackie could swear that she saw purple approaching rapidly.
