Marco and Jackie made their way into the school, where utter chaos was thriving. Children screaming, running blindly. Monster Claw was ramming through the crowd, shoving students out of his way.

And yet, Marco could only focus on the strange behaviour of Star and Janna. As Star chased Monster Claw through the corridor, she seemed to be distracted by various terrified students. Then Janna would tug the girl out of her distraction. That was odd, Star wasn't the type to ogle people.

Marco's train of thought cut off as Monster Claw rushed into the boys' locker room, sending an unsuspecting student flying down the corridor. Jackie hurried to check on the smacked child as Marco continued the chase.

Marco hurried through the locker room, almost slipping on a pile of petals and catching a glance of a few members of the football team cowering in a corner.

In the gym, Marco saw Monster Claw running to the exit, Star not too far behind. Monster Claw pulled on the double door, it did not move. With unimaginable strength, Monster Claw pulled the door out of the frame and chugged it at Star. The Princess ducked to the side, dodging the door.

Before Monster Claw could run out, Janna tossed a volleyball at him. The sphere flew right between the lobster's eyes, leaving him dazed.

Marco used this opportunity to charge the monster. The boy tackled the giant beast and toppled him. The purse with the wand skittering down the floor.

Star rushed to the bag and grasped the wand out of it, prepping for a spell.

Monster claw grabbed Marco off his back and threw him at Star. The two kids collided as Jackie's scream filled the room.

Marco lifted himself, his body aching from the impact. "Are you ok?" The boy grunted out.

"Oh no, no, no, no," Star was muttering to herself.

Marco glanced at the girl. She was staring at her hands, her face distorted by panic. Purple hearts popping into existence on the girl's skin, burying her as they fell off.

Marco stared. "What's..."

"I'm so sorry," Princess lifted her tear-filled eyes at Marco.

In a few moments, Star was engulfed in a pile of pedals.

Marco jumped to dig Star out, but Janna grabbed his arm and pulled him away. "Jackie, Marco, stay away from her," The raven head warned.

"What is happening," Jackie stepped back. Bright purple light streaming out from the purple hearts.

"We should leave right now," Janna warned, dragging Marco back.

"Janna, what is happening?" Marco glared at the girl. The light was turning brighter and brighter. Thick purple vines stretched out of the pile, weaving themselves around the room.

"I'll explain later," Janna said. "We need to run-"

The pile of pedals burst open, sending purple hearts through the gym. The thick vines grew rapidly, encasing the room.

Above the leftovers of the pedal pile fluttered Star. Well, something that resembled her at least.

The face shape and figure were the same, except now her hair and skin were various shades of purple. Two additional sets of hands lade on the girl's sides, and a set of bug-like wings fluttered on her back. It looked like her eyes were covered by two glowing purplish-pink hearts. She seemed uncanny and monstrous. It felt like Star was barely there.

"What the..." Marco looked in shock.

"Run!" Janna screamed as butterfly Star stared at the three, a smile on her lips.

Janna, Marco and Jackie ran through the school corridors, a mutated visage of their friend chasing them.

For a moment, the butterfly creature's attention was caught by a terrified student. Star fluttered to the girl, a smile on her purple face. Outstretching all six hands, the butterfly shot a mossy purple substance out of her hands. It bound the student in place.

Using the creatures' distraction, Janna Marco and Jackie ran on.

But the quiet flutter of wings followed them no matter where they went. The only time kids could not hear the wings was when blood curtailing screams drowned them out.

The three reached a split in a corridor and duct to the left. They stopped still.

Butterfly Star was there. She had a teenage boy wrapped up and hanging off the ceiling, his screaming echoing in the corridor. With a gentle, almost loving touch, the butterfly sealed the child's mouth. The scream was gone, only the quiet sound of wings was left. The being turned her head, a smile on her purple face. She charged at the three. They ran.

Janna tripped on a purple vine, hitting the ground.

Jackie stopped to help Janna, but Marco grabbed her hand and pulled forwards. "No time." The boy screamed, tugging his friend along.

"Sorry," Jackie screamed out as Marco pulled her away.

Janna sat up, her knee aching and bleeding. She knew the bruise was minuscule. She got many similar during cheer practice, but it still hurt.

The raven head did not get a moment to feel the pain. The nearby fluttering of giant butterfly wings dragged her back to reality. Janna turned around.

Pale, hard shaped eyes met Janna's gaze. Janna froze, her mind running at vast speeds, trying to figure out what to do next. But nothing came, all she could do was sit and stare at the purple face in front of her.

The butterfly creature tilted her head to the side. Janna could swear she almost seemed curious. The creature outstretched one of her hands towards Janna. On instinct, Janna closed her eyes, ready to be cocooned like many other students.

Janna felt a sharp pain coming from her knee followed by a wet cool sensation and then nothing. No feeling of being bound, hanged from the ceiling or shoved in a locker. Confused, Janna opened her eyes. The butterfly creature was placing some of the mossy substance on her knee to stop the bleeding.

Then with all six hands, Star grabbed Janna and carefully put her on her feet, patting off any dust of the green dress. After making sure Janna was ok, the butterfly Star flew off in the direction of Jackie and Marco.
