Monster Claw pointed at Star. "You know what we want princess. So just hand it over, and we'll not hurt your cute friends." Monster Claw declared, the creatures behind him throwing an onslaught of threats at the kids.

Star grasped the wand with both of her hands. "You know well enough, I will not give you the wand."

"And I hoped you would see reason blondie," Monster Claw sighed. "Well, then we will have to do this the fun way. Get them!" Monster Claw commanded his posse.

With roars and screams the various beast charged at the kids. As Marco and Jackie were in front of the others, two monsters rushed to them first. A sheep monster stretched his hooves towards the two kids. Jackie duct. Marco stepped back. The monster flew past them landing in the grass horns first. Another monster swung his fist at Marco. The boy dodged and kicked the creature in the stomach. The monster toppled on the ground.

Marco grabbed Jackie's hand. "You need to hide!"

Jackie lifted her head and nodded her cheeks read.

Marco dragged Jackie off as monsters dashed to their real target.

A thin silvery blade manifested out of Star's wand. The girl stood tall in front of Gloss and Janna ready to protect the two.

Three monsters got to them first. A giant creature with a lion's mane swung a log at Star. The princess ducked underneath the thing. Unable to stop himself from inertia the lion knocked his two companions off their feet. They fell unconscious before they hit the ground. The lion dropped the log panicking about what he did. Star used this opportunity. She jumped up to the lion's back and with a swift motion knocked the monster out with the back of her wand. With a flip star landed ready to fight other monsters charging her way.

The monster charge snapped Janna out of her panic-induced freezing. "We need to protect the book of spells," Janna muttered to herself running to the book that was peacefully lying on the ground. "It's your home after all... Right?" She double-checked with Gloss who was perched on her shoulder.

"It is my home," Gloss affirmed. "But you should take care of yourself first."

Janna grabbed the book barely lifting the heavy thing. "I can do both," She explained her voice straining from the weight.

A Round creature with three eyes and grey skin noticed distracted Janna. He snuck on her ready to grab the girl. Before his sausage-like fingers could wrap around Janna, Gloss snapped her fingers. A transparent shell appeared around the black-haired girl. As the monster touched the shield, it shattered knocking the tree eyed beast away. A bang echoed through the yard, a dull thump followed. The monster was on the ground unconscious. Jackie stood over the monster a jello covered shovel in her hands. She was panting in panic, adrenalin running through her veins instead of blood.

"Are you ok?" Jackie asked her hands shaking.

"How about you?" Janna rushed to Jackie. She dropped the book accidentally landing it on the tree eyed monster.

"Fine..." The girl wheezed out.

"No time for this," Gloss talked calmly. The blew lady snapped her fingers and the magic book of spells fluttered underneath her like a flying rug. "We need to get somewhere safe-"

A loud rooster creature cut Gloss off. A giant chicken with creepy eyes was charging the three. Hands flailing, mouth agape in a battle scream. Jackie swung the shovel at the chicken. Gloss snapped her fingers. A blue light surrounded the shovel. Jackie hit the chicken straight in the face. The shovel splintered into a million pieces. The chicken monster flew off into the distance.
