Star shot one spell after another, all of them failing in their own unique way. One of them split into two arcing around the target. Another flew straight up barely avoiding a panicked seagull. And another spend ten minutes flying in circles like a dog chasing its tail.

Hours passed by and the sun started to set.

Aggravated Star shouted out the spell once again. "Moonlight arrow" The silver arrow shot out flying to the target. Right before hitting the magical mark the arrow spun around and rammed itself into Star's gut knocking the girl on the ground.

Everyone in the yard rushed to the girl.

"Are you ok?" Marco asked checking Star's forehead.

"Why are you checking my temperature?" princess asked, her voice exasperated.

"I don't... Panic?" Marco blurted out.

"She's ok" Janna exhale relieved.

"You know what, maybe let's finish for today. It's late and you must be exhausted." Gloss advised to the blond laying on the grass.

Dejected Star sat up. "I hoped I could get a spell working today."

"It's going to be fine," Jackie reassured. "The more you practise, the more you succeed."

"I guess" Star agreed. "But two months of practising seemed to achieve nothing."

"Star," Marco said empathetically. "Ok let's call Ferguson. Some stupid horror films will cheer you right up."

"I hope so." Star side.

"And then tomorrow we can do this again." Marco smiled.

"Are you sure you want to spend more time with Janna?" Star asked.

"Hey if it's to help you, I can suffer."

"I'm not enthused to spend time with that muppet too. But if it's to cheer you up, I'll deal with it." Janna explained patting Star on the head.

"Thank you guys," Star smiled.

"No problem," Marco smirked. The boy walked off to call his friends.

"Gloss, how about we make a list of spells Star can practise?" Janna enthusiastically suggested. "Maybe if she tries a wide array of spells we can figure out what Star is best at?"

"That could work," Gloss turned to Star. "Sweety, are you ok if we try doing that?"

With a deep breath Star put on a bright smile. "I like that idea. But can you two do it together for now? I am tired."

"Sure Star. Just rest for now," Gloss comforted the girl.

"Ok let's make this plan so great that this Star shaped marshmallow will be ungrounded in no time," Janna declared.

Janna ran off to the magic book of spells Gloss floated after her. Soon an intense discussion began.

Jackie was the only one left by Star's side. The princess exhausted plopped to the ground staring at the sky painted by the sunset.

"Still do not know what a marshmallow is," Star muttered.

"You Ok?" Jackie asked, sitting down next to her friend.

"I'm fine. I'm used to being horrible at magic. Just need to sulk for a little bit. And then I can go back to it." Star explained.

"Hey, Star, do you like someone? Like romantically?" Jackie asked staring at the sky.

Star froze and looked at Jackie. "Where did this come from?" the girl asked eyebrow raised.

"Well... I thought a distraction from today would be good..." The girl squinted. "And, and you know... I told you who I like soooo... Now you tell me? Right?" Jackie stumbled out her eyes darting around the yard.
