It took no time for Jackie, Marco and Gloss to make their way back to Echo Creek academy. All of them stacked on the bicycle that Jackie effortlessly weaved through the streets at impressive speeds.
As the trio made their way to the school, they saw a few dozen of kids outside. All of them dealing with panic in a variety of ways. Some were calling their friends and family. Others were running around looking for their classmates. And a handful, we're trying to leave the premises as quickly as possible.
"The school is going to be in the ruins, after all of this," Jackie said, staring at the front of the building covered in purple wines.
"I bet they'll cancel classes for at least a week," Marco's smirked.
"Well, what do we do now?" Gloss asked, lounging on Marco's shoulder.
"Let's just ride into the school," Marco said.
"Is your plan to just let Start chase us?" Jackie scowled, riding up the accessibility ramp and bursting through the front door of the academy.
"What the...?" The kids muttered.
All the corridors were covered in purple wines and piles of moss. Cocoons dotted the building. Some attached to the walls, others hanging off the ceiling. A bunch of students were trapped by thick web-like structures in broken lockers.
Jackie and Marco stared at all of this as they rode through the corridors of the school.
"What is happening?" Jackie asked.
"It's hard to say." Gloss looked around. "During mewberty, a person stops being themselves, really. And they never remember what happened, so knowing for sure is impossible. My best guess. Star is turning the school into her nest."
"A nest? Great," Marco muttered.
Jackie halted the bike. In front of the kids floated Star. She tugged on a set of webs, sending a classroom door flying. Janna jumped out from the room, screams of students following her. She stood there, hands outstretched, protecting the doorway.
Butterfly Star tilted her head, staring at the raven head. She grabbed Janna and carefully put her to the side. Then Star shot out a web, pulling a screaming student to her, and started cocooning him.
"Gloss, do something," Marco shouted.
Gloss muttered under her nose. A pale blue light shot out from her hands. As the light flew to Star, it bloomed into a web trapping the monstrous butterfly. Star's gaze snapped to the trio. The butterfly made a sound of utter delight as she grabbed the magical net and pulled on it, magic sparking under the stress.
"Go, go, go, get her away from them," Marco shouted, patting Jackie on the back.
Jackie jumped on the pedals and rode off past Star.
"We will distract her," Marco shouted at stunned Janna.
It took Star a mere moment to break out of Gloss's spell, multi-coloured sparks flying everywhere. She flew up and rushed after the three on the bike.

On a scorching hot roof of Echo Creek academy lied a man in a hood. His unseen eyes peering at his unfortunate target. The stranger and the lobster monster he was after were in the same camp. Both of them did not want to do this.
Monster Claw was panting on the ground. If the stranger had to guess, the unfortunate monster's legs refused to move anymore. This was the perfect opportunity to strike, but it seemed unfair and cruel. The pore man has been chased for hours, so it seemed fair to give him a moment to breathe. Or was that even worst? Was that giving him false hope that he got away?
The hooded figure took a deep breath. He tried to remember the guilt he was feeling, so this whole thing wouldn't just become a means to an end.
Monster Claw sat up, his breathing calmer. The stranger took that as a sign. He jumped off the roof in front of the unfortunate lobster man.
Monster Claw tried to run, utter terror in his eyes. But before he could get anywhere a small bag hit his face. A cloud of dust surrounded Monster Claw, and he plummeted to the ground unconscious.
"Sorry," The stranger apologised. "I'll do what I can, so you don't get hurt."
With the edge of his cloak, the stranger blew away the leftovers of the dust and pulled out a rope. Carefully, he tied up Monster Claw.
As the lizard man was prepping to put his fellow monster on his back, a faint sound of a portal opening crackled behind him. The man dashed to the bushes, grabbing the unconscious lobster with him. Carefully, the stranger placed Monster Claw on the ground and ducked behind a bush, praying that nobody could see him.
Two sets of feet stepped onto the paved road in front of the school.
"Are we hear," A voice of a young, distressed man asked.
"Yes we are, I just think it's the wrong side," A familiar voice affirmed.
The common sense in the stranger's head told him not to check. Especially if she was who he thought. If she notices him, there was no chance he would leave this place alive or with all of his limbs intact.
But it's been so long.
The stranger peaked from behind the bush. He first saw a boy with horns and pale purple skin. Probably a demon.
Next to the boy stood Moon. She was smiling, but it was obvious she was worried. So typical of her.
"The entrance should be that way," Moon explained to the demon kid.
The boy nodded, nervously looking around.
Thetwo scurried away, vanishing behind the corner of the school. The stranger leftstaring at nothing.
