Composition and rhythm have always been fundamental to my illustrations. In this piece, I set out to capture ten objects together in a single frame in a way that emphasizes volume and movement. With each object representing a facet of my identity, culture, and upbringing, the objects chosen represent small unique pieces of who I am. Though often unnoticed, these intimate objects are fundamental to my growth and development as an individual.

I used this opportunity to practice my sketching abilities, paying obsessive attention to the smooth, realistic type of mark making with charcoal.

Hope you could resonate with this piece! What ten objects would you choose if you were to draw something like this?? ❤️❤️❤️
