Title: Falling Out
Materials: Oil paint on large canvas
Process: sweatpants arranged in the frame to show the downward movement of "tumbling"
Idea: falling out of childhood, growing out of old clothes, hitting the hard cement we call adulthood
Size: 24*36 inches
This piece was really inspired by the idea of growing up, rolling out of childhood ease, and opening up to harder more sophisticated days. I used the laundry basket as a way to communicate growth as often times clothing, shorts, and t-shirts that no longer fit, are an indication of one's development as a person.
