Title: Tissue pursuit
Materials: Procreate digital art
Process: First layer of monochromatic green-blue portrait, then layers of thin white lines, dots, and scattered paint.
Size: N/A
This piece is a self-portrait centered around the idea of pursuit. More specifically, the pursuit of one's passions. The world we live in today is filled with expectations, and it's dangerously easy to get mixed in with the crowd and do what is common and easy. Yet what takes the most courage and fortitude is continuing to pursue what is at the core of one's heart, and what one loves to do most, with or without the superficial decorative sprinkles of wealth and fame. But the pursuit of what is true is true to you is tragically difficult, and more often times than not, it ends up being a tissue pursuit filled with tears and crunched-up paper towels.
Yesterday was 520 day, the Chinese equivalent to Valentine's day. I hope you all had a great day, and continue to live life for yourself! Happy 520! I love you!!!!
