Me, Unbalance, and Broken Steve entered the temple and headed for the stairs. On the short fly over, no one had said anything. Unbalance had been glancing at Broken Steve for almost the entire time, as if he was making sure he wasn't going to try to run away or jump us. Broken seemed to be trying to stay close behind, but not close enough as to risk breaking one of us. I wasn't sure if Balancers were immune to being broken, but I did didn't really want to find out. We walked down the bottom flight of stairs to the machinery floor. Debalance seemed to be placing the final pieces of redstone wiring. He had hooked up two circles of redtsone to the machine, as well as a chest surrounded by the red dust. The two first redstone circles were for me and Unbalance. The chest was for us to try to counter Broken Steve's Broken Energy with whatever we put in it.

"Is it ready?" I asked. He adjusted the redstone wiring that was hooked up to the lever at the front of the machine.

"It should be." Debalance answered. "I'm not sure it's exactly how you made the first one, but I think it should work." It looked like it would work. 'Now for the hard part.' I thought.

"Now we have to figure out what energy we want to give Broken to cancel out his broken powers." I said. The others nodded. I turned to Broken to see if he had a say in the matter. "Is there a specific energy you want to take in?" I asked.

"Nor really." Broken Steve responded. "I never even imagined this was possible, so I never thought about it." That was fair. Not many people get to change what powers they have. Whatever they get, they're usually stuck with. Suddenly Rebalance came down the stairs.

"I didn't find any others who were broken.. ah!" He screamed as he miss stepped, falling face first on the ground. Debalance walked over to him and offered his hand to help him get up. Unbalance just snickered under his breath. I turned to broken Steve. I had to ask him, even if it may sound sort of accusing.

"Broken, do you know of anyone else you broke?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't get sad, or mad. He scratched his head, and made a sound similar to a villager.

"Well, there was the really bright Yellow Steve." He said. "But I saw him yesterday and he's better now. Not sure how he was healed, or who healed him." He closed his eyes, clearly trying to remember as much as possible. "Other then him and Red Steve, I didn't break anyone else." He finally stated. That was a relief. This whole ordeal would have been quite a lot harder if we also had to go find and fix more broken people.

"Ok then." I said to everyone. "We need to start thinking about energy we can give Broken to make his own energy less of a hazard." Everyone nodded, including Broken Steve. 'Seems like he really does regret his past.' I thought. I began to wonder about what his past actually was as I flipped through my infinite inventory of items, trying to find inspiration for another energy. He said he had showed up here just like everyone else, which made sense. He has also said he had stayed away from everyone before he had come here. Who was that "everyone"? I wondered if he even knew what world he had come from.

'I wonder of we could make him into an Unknown Steve?' Unknown Alex suddenly thought, slightly startling me. 'Most Unknown and Blank Steves and Alexes don't retain the powers they had from before they were turned.' That was interesting.

'What about you and Unbalance?' I thought back, still paying attention to the items I was shuffling through.

'Well I was made out of Unknown Energy.' She responded. 'I didn't have a previous form or life. As for Unbalance, when he was an Unknown Steve he still had access to his previous powers, from before he was turned into an Unknown. Although, I don't know what they were. I only know because I heard Empty mention it once.' That was even more interesting. I began to wonder what kind of steve he could have been before. Suddenly an item I shuffled through caught my attention. I stopped thinking about my questions and reversed my shuffle until it was in my hands. It was an ender pearl. The idea hit me like a wrecking ball.
