Part 11: Rebalance and Debalance

I placed the last piece of redstone on the ground. The machine was finally complete. There was a main lock in mechanism with six pistons to hold someone in place, with two pedestals also hooked up. One of those pedestals was for me, and the other for Unbalance. I had thought my plan over the entire time I had constructed the machine, and I was sure it would work. Well, pretty sure anyways. I turned around and looked to the others. Unbalance was leaning against a tree with his eyes closed, more then likely trying to figure out how to give his energy. Rainbow was sitting on the bench we had by the Light Tree I had planted. Incase you don't know what a Light Tree is, it has the shape of a normal oak tree. But instead of leaves, it has mostly white wool and some glow stone. Light Energy ran through the entirety of the tree, which was why I enjoyed being near it. Before now, I hadn't seen a Light Tree since Dark Steve blew up my hill back when I was in The Rainbow Town. I turned my head to our small temple. Orange King and Light Blue Steve were sitting on the second floor balcony.

"Guys come on down!" I yelled. They turned and walked back into the temple, and a few seconds later came out the ground level entrance. Unbalance also walked over, as well as Rainbow. "I think it's ready." I said, gesturing to the machine.

"Wait wait wait," Light Blue said. "What do you mean you think it's ready?"

"Well this has never been done before." I answered as I turned and kneeled to check the wiring. I admit redstone is strange. It is a solid cable, but it has a dust like texture. When activated, it glows a bright red, and it gets dimmer the farther away from the power source the signal gets. I slightly adjusted the wires that were attached to the pistons and then continued. "So far me and Unbalance are the only Balancers, at least in a really long time. I fused with an Unknown Alex, and he is an Unknown Steve, so we both have a direct connection to Unknown Energy. You two don't have any Unknown Energy, so we need to use a machine to give it to you, as well as the Balancer Energy I have." I made the final adjustments to a repeater, sliding it to the second to last notch. I stood back and turned around to see that both Orange King and Light Blue Steve both looked very concerned.

"So your saying you have know idea if this will work, or even if it's safe?" Orange King asked. Orange King was the oldest friend I had in this realm, now that Ruby Steve and Elder Light Steve were gone. He was the color of a normal Orange Steve, but he had splotches of rainbow coloring all over him. He wore a golden crown studded with topaz gems, and his left eye seemed to emit a faint glow. He was definitely one of the most unique steves I had met.

"Well, technically, yes." I said. I wasn't go to lie to them by saying I was a hundred percent sure this would work, because I wasn't.

"What exactly could this do to us?" Light Blue Steve added in, sounding pretty worried. Light Blue wasn't necessarily a unique looking steve, but I had never seen another one of his kind. He was, as his name applied, a lighter version of the Blue Steves. Honestly, it had been hard to adjust to the steve's colors changing. The Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue Steves were all different shades then the ones that had been I my old realm,  the one were I lived in the Rainbow Town. The Purple Steves were gone, and the Indigo and Violet Steves were in their place. And Orange Steves had not even crossed my mind. My bosses had helped me adjust to that. That and the fact that the realm I knew was gone. People that appeared here in Rainbow Realm referred to it as "The Reset". I still hadn't gotten much information on that. 'If I ever manage to get back to my bosses I'll ask them.' I thought.

"Listen guys." I finally said. "I'm not going to tell you that this will end well because I don't know if it will. But this is the only way I can think of to give us some better odds to take on Empty Steve and Origin Steve." I stopped for a moment. I thought about what this meant. They'd become a huge target to Empty and Origin, as well as others. "Still, that means that this is dangerous, and not just because it might fail. Even if it works, you'd be in danger." I paused again, going over my options. The only one I could think of was this, but I still didn't want to force them to do this if they weren't ready for it. "Neither of you have to do this." I concluded. They both looked at me, seeming to be slightly surprised. "If you want we can wait awhile. Or, you don't have to do this at all. Just because we need the help, doesn't mean I'm going to force you two to do this."
