I put my arm around Loki as I looked at the screen of the tv. He smiled and plucked the blanket a little higher over me.
We laid on the sofa and watched in silence as a group of teenagers fled from a werewolf. The group of three ran through the woods, towards a cliff, and one of them stumbled. I clenched my teeth as the werewolf catched him and the sounds of breaking bones came out of the tv.
"Pathetic", Loki said and threw a piece of popcorn into his mouth.
I rolled my eyes and pulled myself closer to him. "He was just unlucky. And that werewolf thing is scary."
"Well, many people would say I am heartless. You know, like many villains."
I slid onto his stomach and pressed my ear against his chest. The little tump-tump of his heartbeat was always so calming for me. I lifted my head. "No, you have a heart", I said grinning. "I can hear it." Loki chuckled and I drew a heartshape on his chest with my finger, right were I put my ear.
He watched me and everytime he looked at me like this I was surprised how warm his green eyes could seem.
We continued to watch the movie and the two teenagers left had arrived at the cliff. One of them clinged with one hand on it.
"Please, run and save your life!", they said.
"No", the other answered. "I will choose you over and over again, if you aren't with me I don't need anybody!"
I noticed that Loki had furrowed his brows. "What's wrong?", I asked.
"I ... I don't have such a person." He stared at the television. "Nobody would ... no, it's fine. Please, don't -"
But I already shut the tv off. I looked into his eyes and took a deep breath. He watched me with calm sadness.
"Please", I started. "Please, for the love of the gods, don't worry. I will choose you. I will choose you over every person in the world, over every single one. And I will my entire life."
Loki didn't dare to say anything. Instead he lifted his hand and caressed my face like it was out of porcelain.
I smiled and laid my head onto his chest, slowly going up and down with his breaths and listening to the beat of his heart.
"Why?", he asked.
I looked up. "Because I love you."
He snickered, like he couldn't believe his luck. His fingers went trough my hair. "I will never get tired of hearing that." A moment of silence went by. "And I would do the same for you."
